Landlord is selling his property and wants an estate agents to take photos

Landlord is selling the house I rent from him and wants an estate agent
to enter the property to take photos. Am I within my rights to not agree to this as I don’t want photos of my personal possessions for everyone to see?

Yes, especially in these Covid days.
    * What type of tenancy do you have?
    * has he said he's planning to sell to an invester and let the tenancy continue?
    * or has he indicated he will want to end the tenancy? Has he served a S21? Exact dates?
    * do you want to stay, or prefer to leave?

We have a fixed term agreement and have been here for over 3 years with no issues.  No he needs to sell to save his business. Yes he has issued the notice and it states 2 months.  I can’t leave as there or no properties available at present.

If you refuse to let them come in and take photos, will they offer a positive reference?

I think you should accept the fact that he will eventually turf you out, but if you're compliant, the new landlord almost certainly won't.

There won’t be a new landlord as he is selling the house not a tenanted property

In which case you might want to point out to him that nobody with any sense will be buying it if you're still there, so he may as well wait until you're gone before getting the pics taken.

I took it as your present landlord giving you a reference for the landlord for your new rental property

Is it not 6 months notice they have to give now.
Anyway you can refuse as it interferes with “quiet enjoyment”As it won’t just be an estate agent coming in to take photos.Next it will be buyers coming to look, then surveyors.
Might as well start as you mean to go on and say no.
Of course if they want to offer a financial incentive then you could be out quicker than 6 months.
