As the 3% offer is limited to the first 100 savers only, it is probably a " loss leader" operation.
As such, it is probably genuine. 
It is not dissimilar to XYZ Finance Co offering 3% or even 5% and then immediately close down the issue and replace it by a much lower issue.
To the 100 lucky ones, enjoy it

I opened this last week and having spoken to Tandem customer services today to check the account details, I am reassured that it is a perfectly genuine account.
Isn't it a sign of the times that an account paying just 3% lead people to wonder if it might be a scam.

Are there any forum members who have been on the forum for over a year with a minimum of say 50 posts, that have transferred money into /out of this bank successfully?
It's of no confidence and if anything gives more doubt if new members and all members with less than 50 posts, give any form of reassurance about tandem

I’m waiting for my money to become available end of this week, then I’ll be able to tell you.
