Tandem 3% fixed rate saver

I joined the mailing list and had an email today saying I had got lucky and was one of the first 100 so have access to a fixed rate saver at 3%.
Anyone else get it?
The app is a beta version so you have to install it outside the app store which isn't ideal, but I guess is the play-off for the rate.  I rang Tandem just now to confirm and confirmed it was legit.  I might ring again to confirm bank details before paying in though...

I got this today, just read on reddit someone else mentioning it. Does seem too good to be true. I did email them on the website to confirm, waiting for a reply. Good idea to confirm bank details before sending anything.

Are you sure it's not a fixed rate regular saver ? That rate is fairly similar to the best bank-linked regular saving rates at the moment.

The first 100 Beta Customers will be offered an interest rate of 3% AER* / Gross on the 1-year fixed term saver that they open in the Beta Product. The minimum deposit will be £5,000 and the maximum deposit will be £85,000.

I've just signed up;...I assume the first 100 places will have already gone but it's 1.4% for the rest.
Whether I've been quick enough to join 'the rest' remains to be seen. I'm not holding my breath.

can anyone confirm they’ve spoken on the phone to Marcus to confirm this is legit from them. It’s just that everything you would expect from a scam holds true to this -

eg high amount of 3%, limited to 100 people, register within 48 hours,  Download from separate link for app.

my partner is also one of the lucky 100 but just want to be sure as there’s nothing at all mentioned on their site or any google search regarding it.

What is the connection between Tandem and Marcus?

All seems above board. Sort code is 60-84-13 which is listed as Tandem bank.

The prize rates have probably all gone to relatives and friends of staff.
