If I end up leaving MSE, which I'm still hoping won't be necessary, I would probably migrate to Loquax - if they'll have me. I suspect there are old MSE pals there. There is also something called "Competition Database". But I don't know anything much about it.

I suggested starting our own up a while ago, got mostly ignored and was stated it would be too hard, not enough interest etc.  I even had someone pm me offering to build it but seemed a non starter among the community.  Even less of a community now sadly.  I too have gone to the ducks, but good luck with your efforts over here

Aw mumto, I'm sad at what you said. Perhaps you were ahead of us all, and saw what was coming before we did? I don't know enough to guess whether it would or wouldn't be too hard, but I suspect that it might well get enough interest. I wonder if Martin Lewis might help set something up for us? Something that wouldn't fit in now with MSE, but perhaps could still be affiliated in some way?

Oh mum2boys, I am sorry to read that you were ignored when you made the suggestion of creating a new website that is like what we used to have.

Was your post in a thread or a standalone post? If the former, I wonder if it is allowed to create a new thread and see what interest there is - I don't want to get PPRd.

Mumto, I've had a peek at the thread you linked to and I'm sincerely sorry if I was any part of what made you feel ignored. What you suggest is a great idea. If anyone felt able to set up something for us, along the lines of what we used to have here, I would be thrilled and would happily move there.

@Blulu you couldn't upset a fly    I was just a bit saddened by the lack of response or interest, and it seems still the case.  I think it's easier for people just to move to another forum which is what it seems most have now done x
