I have opened up a petition and posted it on CCC. Please sign if you can, and do spread the word to other compers, including any you might be in touch with who have moved on from MSE since the changes.

I tried to amend my signature to something like yours, but it was just another thing I couldn't do

Thanks loads Cornish P and for signing the thing. When I did my signature I got an error warning. Something about a video not being embedded? Made no sense to me. But it seems to have saved it OK in spite of this. I don't know why.

Many thanks as ever for the thread and petition, Blu! Your kind efforts to bring people together and make things better are a perfect example of why this comping community is so lovely! It makes me so sad to hear to think of everyone leaving, but I totally understand your frustration. All fingers and toes crossed that MSE respond soon and that the comping community can be rescued! x

Aw Mouse, you lovely sweet thing. It was hard to read your post, because my eyes are a bit 'misty' now and it's ALL your fault and by the way, ditto to you for all your positive posts. You are so right re the comping community here. I hope we can rescue it, and move forward all together.

Thank you to all lovely contributors. I have posted a few competitions myself over the years (when I've been lucky to find  something not already posted!)

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind whatsoever that MSE couldn't care less about this small area of their forums. In the past they've always been quick enough to respond to queries but they are now mysteriously very quiet by comparison. That silence speaks volumes to me. I would never even have visited the 'duck' site before all this but I find the functionality much more to my liking anyway. They only tiny gripe compared to MSE is that answers are not always posted but I don't mind working a bit harder to earn my entry!
