What is everyone’s experiences with a mandatory reconsideration ? Clearly if I’m in that much distress I am unable to follow a route - as was decided last time .

How many people go on to tribunal ?

I don’t know wether to ask ( if they do award me standard mobility ) because I feel I fit descriptor F not E . But I don’t know if I can go through with the stress and anxiety it all gives me

If you can't go out the majority of the days because of overwhelming psychological distress then descriptor 1E would apply. If you can go out but with a carer/support but you can't follow the route of familiar journey then F would apply. Sounds like to me that E is the correct recommendation, which would be Standard mobility.
It's only advisable to request the MR then Tribunal if more points can be awarded, as you don't go out the majority of days then taking this any further would be a waste of time.
What makes you think you qualify for Enhanced mobility if you're unable to go out even with a carer/support?
Yes agree with this... my only query is why are they currently awarded Mob 1F (unless I've misunderstood) rather than 1E

Their conditions may have changed since they were last awarded. Although, if that's the case then they should have reported the changes.
  • Because I didn’t say I only went out once last year , as she stated . She stated I only ever go as far as the garden gate . I don’t have a gate !! I think she’s confused me again with the other persons  form .... she’s even put in there that I denied pain while prepearing food even though it is wrote in my form ... I’ve double checked this over and over .... I have not once mentioned pain in the whole form !!

My form states “ my condition is still the same as of xx sep 201x , I need help from another person . I need extreme encouragement and prompting to go out due to my severe anxiety . Even the thought can bring on a panic attack let alone doing it . Due to my motivation concentration I am unable to plan any trip or journey to another place and there is no way I could follow a route . I cannot follow a plan or route as I would get confused and agitated , scared , panicked and wander off and get lost putting myself in danger . Even in familiar places I get confused , scared , panicked and my mind goes blank. I don’t know where I am or where to go . This scares and distresses me and I either have a panic attack and curl up into a ball to hide or I will run away not k owing where I am going or I may lash out at people in distress putting myself and others in danger . Therefor I need extreme encouragement , support , guidance and reassurance from someone , so they can insure I am safe and others are safe too so that I don’t run into the road or into danger because of the state I am in . I need help from someone to take me to familiar and unfamiliar places because I am unable to do this on my own “

so is it worth asking for a mandatory reconsideration ?? From what I’ve wrote on the form would you still class me as 1E or 1F

thanks for taking the time to read . I find it difficult  to explain myself fully
  • I just feel like she’s got me mixed up with someone else ( last left the house last year ) and hasnt based it on MY circumstances and not the other persons who she’s confused me with . If you all think I’d get the same decision even with my own circumstances then it would waste a lot of people’s time asking for it to be reconsidered like you said poppy so I wouldn’t bother .

I don’t want to be awarded more then my condition requires so if it’s standard it’s standard and that’s fine but I feel it’s been based on her confused false information but don’t want to put myself through the stress and anxiety if there’s no point and everyone thinks it should remain 1E

It makes no difference whether you have a garden gate or not. You said you last left the house last year, so whether you need support/prompting or assistance to go out because you can't plan a journey or follow the route makes no difference. As you can't undetake any journey (you can't go out) because of overwhelming psychological distress then E is the correct descriptor here and requesting the MR and Tribunal will be wasting your time and their's because F doesn't apply to you.
If you were able to go out the majority of the time with assisstance/support/prompting then it would be F.
  • I never once said in the form or on the phone that the last time I left the house was last year , that’s my point . That’s why I asked if the decision maker rereads the form . Everything I filled in in that box I have wrote here . In the telephone assessment which I assume they record so could listion back to I never once said I left the house last year . She never asked when I last left the house . My point about the garden gate was this was clearly someone else saying they didn’t leave the house since last year and they only get as far as their garden gate .

    Telephone assessments are not recorded.
  • Yes I do go out With my carer .
This is where I’m confused and think she must be basing it on someone else’s , just like she did with the pain remark .
I didn’t say How much I go out ( you can see what I wrote in the box above ) as I did t relise I had to . If she did ask me on the phone how often I went out my answer would have been not very much and only ever with my carer . I can’t remember if she asked me this or not but I know 100% I have never said I last went out last year .
  • I guess I need to ask for a reconsideration and state that I never said I don’t go out and state I never said I last went out last year . Yes I do go out but it does cause me overwhelming physiological distress but I do still go out when I am prompted and with assistance and support .

Would you ask poppy or do you think they will just read my box again and come up with the same conclusion
