Good afternoon all, I seem to have mislaid the morning somewhere...
DD was deposited at work this morning. I made it back safely despite the weather and the idiotic drivers. Feel free to drive over 60mph, but I presume you have noticed the weather, the standing water and the double hay lorry coming towards you??
Summer clothes pulled out of drawers and the cupboard, scrutinised, but none destined to leave the house. Replaced by the more wintery clothes from a case in the loft, which then entailed a mad spurt of ironing. I spied some old toys in the far back of the loft, so I’m thinking that I may be able to move those to new owners, sooner rather than later. Bathrooms given a s&s, still have to sort out the fridge after the Mr M delivery the other evening.
Round - WW may have been here for an hour or so earlier, but I am now holding him hostage, as it sounds like you need some down time. I may let him head for home tomorrow....😉7 -
I have prepped, cleaned and cooked crab apples for jelly. Will put to strain later. Have sorted birthday cake as I'm taking the box (and some cake) back to friend. Had text from the girls - they paid for my meal and wine last night. Probably wise not to have told me last night, I'm sure I would have sobbed! Have made carrot and coriander soup (first time ever) so that'slunch then I have to brave outdoors on a series of errands.
My Spode mug, given to me by my sister, has gone awol. *puzzled*
Had to google crab apples to check that's what they are.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear7 -
Fayolle - thank you xx
My third load of washing has finished swishing - so I'm going to artfully drape it on the airer and then hunker down with my book and a mug of hot chocolate. A trial run in preparation for 'proper' winter weather.
I've had the light on all day - murky old lot!

1500g of chocolate delivered. More CP's sorted. I still need a Dunelm code if anyone finds a working one I would be very thankful.
7 ebeasty items listed, 3 posted and one sold, one waiting on payment but best not mention that one lol.
I was very unsentimental and listed my 1995 boxed Bo Peep.. they are selling for around £136.. who am I to say no to that? That alone would do all the presents for the outlaws with change.

I've been online and paid this week and next week's rent. Gasp - it's October....... and I've been online and paid my Council Tax..... oops. I am usually so organised with that sort of thing - oh well, a lot going on at home, at work, and in the world, something's got to give at some point. Done now.
Pizza delivery ordered ....well, I was online, with my card in my hand, it would have been silly not to
Note to self: turn calendars over to October.

Evening all
Well the house is now clean and tidy, finally. Tidying today did involve quite a bit of just putting in to cupboards and drawers, that will probably come back to bite me when I can’t find things later, but I just wanted stuff out of the way.3 x wm done 2 dried in TD and one is on the airer still. Washing not caught up yet but will do some more tomorrow.
Beef in red wine casserole made and scoffed for supper, made double so a meal for another day now in the freezer. Washing up all done and kitchen left clean for tomorrow.
My plan for the evening is book, bath and then bed, I’m shattered again so will be heading for an early night methinks.
Hope you are all well, back tomorrow x6 -
kazwookie said:JOJO is it possible to have a lock of some sort on your door to keep the children out? and a Window glass type hatch way put in the wall near the door so you can speak to them when you are ready?GI well done on the mortgage2 x Wm done, used TD to get them sort of dry, now in airing cupboard.Various boring things going on here.My sciatic nerve and what other nerve runs down to your ankle are causing me real grief yesterday and toady, so I have a hot water bottle on the bit near my bum to see if I can ease it off.
It's in all the rules that they mustn't be sent here.
I haven't had a great day. Himself woke me up at 5.45am to ask me what he should do because he felt hot and clammy and had been sick. Of course, as he'd thoughtfully waited until the time of the weekday alarm, I pinged wide awake then. To find that a) he felt quite hot, b) my head was banging and c) my Mooncup had shifted. Made coffee, took parrots and decongestant, heard him call in sick to work and by the time I had got everything sorted, he'd gone to sleep. I gave up and had a long, long bath. His temperature was normal when I managed to dig out the old thermometer and get it working, though.
Work has taken him off the rota for the week. I'm just going to have to see how tomorrow goes before making a decision - based upon the actual rules of cough or temperature or loss of smell/taste. Can't help imaging the s***storm that would arise if I have to contact work. SLT know the rules are being broken by staff, they've told them again and again to abide by them, but some just won't listen.
I've had a total Nope Day as a result and think that tomorrow will be the same.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll6 -
Morning xx
I'm feeling much more me today, as in NOT tired. So this is how it feels!!!
My bed is made, first brew supped, and WM is swishing with first load strategically chosen as DS will need clothes for work tomorrow, I was laid in bed planning today's washing agenda as though it was a military campaign. It's not the washing, it's the getting dry. I don't usually dry clothes on the bedroom radiator, but I'm going to 'finish off' the towels up there which will free a lot of airer space for today's wet washing. Isn't life easier when your brain isn't swamped in 'fog'!
First job today is to order a delivery from Mr M for tomorrow. I'll do that now.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning
Glad you’re feeling better round x
I’m not quite sure what the plan is today, house looking pretty good after our efforts yesterday, there are some garden jobs needing doing but I don’t think the weather will allow that! Should really get out for some air too, will see if it dries up at all as would rather not get drenched in the process lol.
WM is loaded, will start it swishing and then sit with a cuppa and make a plan.Have a good day all x7
