LOL, of course you ignore DRP letters (all of them) unless you need to tell their DPO an address change too?
Did you see the pictures in post #4 of the NEWBIES thread?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, saw the photo of the debt collector letters collection - my two letters pale by comparison! OK - got that message!I'm guessing that no comments about my SAR email to IP means that it's ok and now it's just a waiting game?1

In these "unprecented times", patience is not only a virtue but a necessity. Have you complained to your MP?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

SillyBilly2020 said:Have now received a 'Final chance to pay' letter from DRP - quite threatening about recommending that their client (Initial parking) starts court action but now giving me extra time to pay. I've already emailed the above SAR letter to the Initial parking DPO. My letting agent tells me they've collected my un-redirected post (redirection now back in place) and have posted it to my parents address, but I've not yet seen it so still have no details of the PCN. Also, no feedback about my SAR letter posted last week, which is a little disconcerting.Questions:1. Is the above SAR letter ok?2. Do I still ignore the DRP letters? Thanks for any help - still somewhat nervous about all this.
Think about the rubbish they are telling you ,,,,
" recommending that their client (Initial parking) starts court action"
WHAT IDIOTS ? the fools don't even own the debt. That is why you ignore them, there is ZERO they can do.
Just let them live in their dream world and waste their money2 -
At last, an update. I've received the SAR reply by email today so have now seen the PCN details for the first time.My payment receipt is for 5 hours of parking, from 10:26 to 15:27.Initial Parking's SAR photos show the car entering at 10:21.14 and leaving at 15:39.43. So the car left 12 minutes after the ticket expiry time. Their SAR response does not say anything about the grace period at the car park, despite my explicit request, but searching online I found an earlier case here on MSE that stated it is 10 minutes. So, according to the PCN I was 2 minutes outside the grace period and for that they are charging me £100.I was careful to return to my car within my booked time but hadn't allowed for the car park being so busy. Unfortunately I can't prove how long it took me to drive from my parking spot to the exit point. So, having not responded to the initial PCN (for the aforementioned reasons) what now? On the face of it, I've exceeded the exit grace period so what's my defence?0

you have ommitted to state the YEAR of those tickets , upto the most recent change by the BPA , there were 2 cx grace periods , one at the start , and one at the end of paid parking1

Apologies, it was this year, July 2020.

ANPR does not record parking time, only time on site. This car park has been a scam site for years because of the layout and how long it takes to get from one end to the other before the parking period begins, and how long it takes to get to the exit once the parking period has ended.
Parking scammers love ANPR for this reason amongst others, but the UK Government does not permit its use in council or local authority car parks because it is not fit for purpose.
As already advised, ignore powerless debt collectors, and send your rectification notice to the scammer's DPO once you have your new overseas address. Instruct the DPO to erase (use that specific word) your old data and replace it with your new address for service. Include proof of residency such as a lease or utility bill.
Initial are relatively new kids on the estate and as far as I know have yet to take anyone to court.
If they try, then come back here for further advice. There are a couple of useful Fistral threads, one of which includes images of signs and a copy of the scammers contract to scam. The link below will take you to the post that includes that information should you need it later.

So the car left 12 minutes after the ticket expiry time.If the ANPR clock was sychronised with the PDT machine, which it never is...so DO NOT accept that timing as true.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
