Oooooo yes please:rotfl:
The last time I actually used one was in High School ... oh, about ermmmm ... a few years ago
And in primary school (or Juniors as it was known then) I was the idiot in the class who put the sewing machine needle straight through her finger
I've been waiting for one of the boys to remind me how to thread it up, as they've all done needlework at school, oh and how to do the spool thingies as I always seemed to have problems with that bit for some reason, hence how I managed to sew my finger
I remember my mum having one of those old Singer machines with a treadle table and I spent hours making all sorts on that! My nan gave me a load of black lacy material and I made a wedding dress for one of my dolls out it ... should have realised back then I was a bit strange thinking about it :rotfl:
For some reason I went off sewing once she upgraded to an electric machine "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

It's a gorgeous morning here and I've hung out one wash load of towels and just put a wash load on, the breadmachine is scenting the house deliciously
(I'm beginning to think it's not at all cost effective ... the smell makes my tummy grumble in anticipation!!)
I'm going to potter in & out the garden today, I've noticed some bindweed creeping through from under the neighbours fence and I need to get it out pronto!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

one load of washing is already waiting to be hung out and another in the machine.......am going to wipe the kitchen cupboards all down later then i have some serious mse :money: research to do cos although im doing quite well with the house and shoping thanks to you fab people on here i need to tackle the debt so am reading the money diet as well as working on here to draw up proper budget, research what rates im paying etc and get a proper break down of things so i can post on the debt free wannabe board!! phew!!
also promised dd1(2.5) that we could do some painting so mega amounts of cleaning later methinks.
oh and you mentioned the bindweed.....any tips for getting rid of it?? we moved into this house in late jan(is council house) and the whole of the back garden is covered in it.....no matter what we do it just seems to come back.0 -
'Morning Queenie and LearningtoSave .... I spot a trend here. Bread came out of breadmachine at 6am. The smell is driving me nuts ...
OH is the baker in the house and knowing I rise with the birds he sets it so that I can take it out of the machine and it is cooling ready for when he gets up at 7
Work as usual today, but the garden is going to be calling me this evening. Weeding to do between the seedling rows and some more potting on.
Early morning - best time of the day. I get the house to myself, listen to birds and get unrestricted access to the internet with a 'mum, can I go on the computer now?'Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Hmm, bread maker. I have one sitting in the cupboard that I haven't used for about a year. I think you may have just inspired me to get it out again. Being a newby money saver I think one of my new resolutions is to stop buying gadgets I never use! Or, start using them!0
