So, the power company is coming good, staying in contact and I recived a refund today of just over £500 for electricity. I put £525 straight on the Credit card. Just missed stateemnt day, so it won't show up in my figures until next month, but it will show up in the interest. Have another £300 ish to come apparrently - for the gas.

Bought some delish fabric to make a mini skirt. Ration Challenge coupoins used.
Decided to stop the veg box...and do some proper good old fashioned meal planning,

But biy oh boy have I been in a bad and sad mood.

    Going gently.

Keep going DrCarrie, just keep going. I keep thinking how amazing it would be if I was putting all that moeny in a savins or investments account, that I am using to pay off the debts.

So I have been thinking of a couple of mini goals for myself. Things to achive by 21st June - day of potential freedom and returning to the office.
    - I am excited about when the minimum payment comes down below £100 pcm on CC1 - so that is my current focus. It feels important in terms of a shift in how much interest I am paying on that debt, meaning the snowball is stating to really gather momentum.
    - One of my main triggers to starting to use the CC's again has been feeling blah, and Christmas / B'days.
    - the feeling balh leades to clothes shopping (this has become a bit more under control, but its still there), lunches, dinners, cocktails and 2 day bender weekends and beauty, a lot on beauty. These areas now have 'pots' as does Christmas and birthdays.

    - Goals met willl have a reward:
    - Goal 1: get CC1 minimum payment to below £100, Reward: if this happens before restraunts are open I will allow myself one of my absaloute favourite beauty products. If after resrictions are lifted, I will take myself to the seafood restaurant for lunch.
    - Goal 2: pay of 25% of the debt. Reward will be new set of nice underwear.

I am going to smash it!

  • I think it's good to give yourself a reward if you think it will help you stay focused. Shopping habits and temptations will get less as you get further into the process.

OKay, so post number 2 for the day.
I have a lovely spend up, but was very sensible, all planned and paid for. Had great fun, searching out offers on beuaty products and seeing what things cost me over 3 months (and downsizing) and making the most of offers without getting sucked in either! I have been planning this for such a long time - get a quater of the years stuff in one go - stops the visits to sup3rdrug / Spac£NK / B00ts etc...and the frittering of things falling in the basket.

Also paid £5 off the CC. I jsut feel I want to pay somehting, even if a tiny payment every month - that and NSD's are what seem to keep me focussed.
