Aayush, who has actually told you to self-isolate?1

North West news reported two people in Bolton got fined due to going back to work immediately after returning from Spain and The Netherlands. Although, maybe Bolton is being watched more closely than other areas due to the council leader saying the local restrictions are due to one person bringing back COVID from Spain and then going on a pub crawl instead of self-isolating.bradders1983 said:
We need to work out who has actually told him to isolate, fine only applies if NHS Track and Trace have told him (and obviously they have to find out)epm-84 said:
Or another way of looking at. Say you earn £1500 and your commute costs £25 a weekaayush said:so best to stay at work then take SSP as not help in the long run give cv19 to others then take sick leave
You stay at home:
SSP: +£191.70
Loss of pay: -£714.28
No commute: +£50
Difference: -£472.59
You go to work and get caught (best case scenario - you're caught after working for two full weeks)
Getting paid: £714.28
Commute: -£50
Fine for being caught not self isolating: -£1000
Difference: -£335.72
However, the worst case scenario is actually you go to work and get caught on your first day meaning you only get one day's pay, you get the fine and for the rest of the week and the following week you get SSP anyway.1 -

Right so its the school who told you to do it, and NOT the NHS Track and Trace thing?
Probably means the fine isnt relevant then, but do with this info what you will.2 -
Did you contact the NHS for a test?1
-
So the NHS has said to self isolate until the results come? Who had tests done? Just your son?0
-
So your son tested positive on the 14th and you are still awaiting the results of your own TEN days later? When did you actually have the test?0
