NSD 2/15
No proper exercise today as finished work late and skipped the gym in favour of the sofa and cosy pjs. Busy day at work so still managed to get 10,000 steps.

It was awful weather here yesterday so we had another relaxing day inside watching the rain outside and TV inside.
Made a delicious bolognese for dinner. I’m going to have to exercise some control over Himself.. He keeps wanting to buy food we don’t need just because it looks good. We’ll end up having to take it home with us if I don’t nip it in the bud now.
Finished my book and got another downloaded ready to start today. Weather is much better today so hopefully a walk on the beach.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
Morning all
Miserable weather here today but I do love the feeling of being snuggled indoors on a rainy autumnal day
Yesterday wasn't a NSD in the end, popped into town to look for a few bits my mum asked me to get for her, while I was there I bought two plain black tops that I'd been meaning to buy for ages (only cheap ones, £8.99 each). They're suitable for work and home. Also bought a shirt on sale for £3. I found a used gilet on ebay for £20, so bought that too. Much better than spending £50+ on an equivalent new one. I have no more spends planned for a while!
Also managed a walk yesterday and did chores at home. Watched some films while OH went out last night and had sn early night.
Today's original plan was horse riding but the weather is foul so think I'll give it a miss. Will try and get out for a short walk at some point. I'm going to do more jobs on the to do list that I've been putting off for ages and am also going to do a workout as I won't be riding. OH is hungover so should stay out of the way lol. Stay safe Turtles.7 -
Anyone else watching / watched the London marathon and noticed the v1rg1n logo? It says 'money' and has 'v1rg1n' written inside the o. But all you see is 'money'. Logo irony, eh?

Yesterday the weather was grim, grey and gloomy so settled in an armchair and worked through a pile of paperwork. Completed mum's tax return. Tried to pay the WTC overpayment but the pinsentry machine I'd found decided to play hide and seek, the gov website was difficult to negotiate (just trying to find the right category) and then the bank website decided it didn't recognise my details (urgh or possibly aaarghh) so left it for another day. Sewed whilst watching Doctor Who and made a simple evening meal (mum still not feeling great). Weather settled into gloom plus drizzle and downpours so mostly stayed in (went out to the bins barefoot several times).
This morning it was grey but not raining and then bits of blue sky appeared. Dressed and went to my house along the canal bank. Not sure if I should have gone in as we are back in local lockdown again but DS3 let me in and I went straight through and stayed in the garden most of the time (house smells, animals need a good clean out and the pizza box skyscrapers need sorting out. Moved most of my tools, painting stuff and diy accessories from under the stairs to near the front door (boxed and labelled in case my driver helper can get them for me), hacked down more of the garden, picked all the self seeded tomatoes, put an old bin (hooray it was the one with a solid bottom) on the dolly truck and filled it with raised bed bits.
Left DS3 with a list and instructions about my clothes - basically go through what's hanging in the wardrobe and in the drawers, leave any thin stuff where it is, bag up anything warm or suitable for layering and get 6 pairs of socks out of the bag under the bed. I also want my proper walking boots, my baby rucksack and owl poncho (think they are both hanging from the ironing board) and my spirit level (it's bright yellow and 4' long) and the little reindeer box with money in. DS3 offered to put the money in his account and transfer it to mine which means I don't have to go back specifically to go to the bank. Will message him if I think of anything else. Set off back here with the dolly truck full of stuff (including the rotary airer which had entangled itself with the bin handle, so used all the strands to tie the bin to the dolly). Called at a cash point to get out some of the cash mum owes me.
Tough journey back, needed lots of breaks, completely exhausted. Got in, put my clothes and mask in the washer, got a cold drink, put my lunch in the oven and the food delivery arrived (20 minutes early). So let him put everything on the trolley and then the table, put freezer stuff away, sat down with my cold drink and food, then unpacked the rest slowly - ie one bagful every half hour then back to resting. Was hoping I could get the bin painted as it's a good drying day but it isn't going to happen.
Grateful for getting stuff done, for DS3 offering to go to the bank (won't feel so guilty if it takes me a couple of days to recover), for the food in this week's delivery - went with lots of healthy fruit and veg to eat raw and lots of easy meals (to give me time for painting, raised bed building, polytunnel mending). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
NSD 3 in a row. Already on day 4 of this month I have done better than last month! I need a jumping happy emoji right now! I do miss our interactive emotion emojis. It stopped raining about 8am so grabbed 2 kids and a couple of pairs of wellies and we did a quick dash to the local country park and robbed a half bag of apples (none left really at all now) and made it home by ten past nine. All soggy from the ankles up, made scones, made biscuits, made a feast of chinese food for lunch and the afternoon watching football on the tv.Plus the normal loads of laundry, homework managing, cooking, cleaning etc etc. But a nice day all in all.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hi everybody, don't think I can hack an other week! I feel very sad as had 18th birthday for my youngest, and I am devastated him and his brother has not has not had much of a childhood, and not the most exciting b'day in the world - rules and restrictions. So I feel I just need to reflect and digest emotionally and not work an other exhausting week with confused students.
MSE starts again tomorrow, gave boy a party, gifts and went out for breakfast, and it was nice. So all is good, I just need to watch a movie and go to bed!

Had to venture to aldee today as I'd not realised we were so low on so many things, and as several were for dd, they couldn't wait. Not something i would normally do!Grateful today for getting a parking space and getting through aldee quite speedily, for not having the rain splattering against the house due to manky gutters any more, for the tennis and the marathon for background entertainment, for funny messages on our family group chat, for dd's ukulele playing, for almost catching up on putting receipts into my spreadsheet.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!5
