Had a little walk yesterday and spent a couple of hours in the afternoon in the local pub. It’s very nice with lovely helpful staff.
Chicken salad was lovely and I’ve made chicken soup for tonight. Still loads of chicken left.
Another quiet day today, I think.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8 -
Should be on NSD number 4 today if all goes as planned. Work was really busy yesterday and I ended up working longer than I should've. I've started keeping a record of any overtime so I can claim the time back (local authority on the brink of bankruptcy so no overtime pay here!).
Been going for a 25-30 minute walk first thing and then doing some sort of workout before starting work as it sets me up well for the day. I don't think I'll be renewing my gym membership as I've found I don't really need it if I put my mind to it.
Nothing else to report, some DD's have gone through but not everything. Nothing unexpected so just hope it continues that way.
Grateful for being so busy that I don't spend anything; morning walks with my wireless headphones for company; a cosy sofa.9 -
Pompoms waving about madly here in celebration of blood being taken (with a bucket to hand for those bodily fluids...yikes). Well done mothernerd - take a well deserved rest on the chaise longue and have a nap.

Well month isn't going as planned. Got a few problems with sciatica and yesterday hurt lots sitting down, piriformus nerve trapped so had to make an appointment for Friday £45. I did the stretchy exercises for it yesterday and some awful yoga you tube video. Think it was the womans voice that got to me and the fact I was struggling to catch up all the time. Cross I couldn't do my walk not advisable. Made up for it by bedroom wardrobe tidy 90 mins, declutter lounge and clean up 60 mins. Kids and a wet weekend, sticky hand marks everywhere.NSD 4/ 15. I do need a new battery for my car key but can wait until its better weather. I can't open it after 15 yrs, trip to Halfords needed.Managed to finally make an appt for a smear test, cancelled at lockdown, few letters asking me to reschedule but hell to get through to the Drs. I can understand your frustration Mothernerd. Tried to get a Flu jab not available for under 65yr olds until November. Being 60 thought I would stand a chance.Kerry - good luck with the job hunting.Grateful forWarm cozy office today.Boss clearing out his house, gorgeous big mirror in my car, had twigs and a huge vase yesterday. Oops this is not exactly de- cluttering but I like the FREE word.I can see a bit of blue sky,watch it disappear after work. Feel better today so will do a small walk.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/228

Our old codger (late 70's early 80's) volunteers at the f/b have all just had their flu jabs in the past 5 days, they were booking people in with the nurse in 3 minute intervals. So the first appt was at 8.00, then 8.03, 8.06. 8.09 etc and if you weren't there you missed your slot and that was it. Go home, make another appt. They were in and out in no time flat, said it was highly efficient, the nurse was wiping everything down before they even had their foot out the (propped open so you didn't need to touch it) door. They were very impressed. If they come and take your bloods mothernerd, they should be able to jab you up the same way.Today I scored a free metal double bed frame for DS2 so I did a deep clean of his room (I would rather have dealt with mothernerd and her bucket) but at least his room no longer honks to high heaven, and the carpet was rediscovered!!I knew it was there all the time, just not seen it for a while. Surprised the heck out of him when he came home from school to find a new bed in a different position, a clean bedroom and a tidy desk with floorspace to dance in. He may never speak to me again. Swings and Roundabouts.Also got a tv that has a fault that sounds like a very simple fix, so could have a new-to-us tv for a sub £5 spend. Sometimes having a man who is handy with a soldering iron is a good thing to have.Anyway, need to go and make supper - keep dry if you can, although not sure it matters to a turtle..... just keep swimming, just keep swimming.....4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Evening all
First off - hugs Mothernerd - and get well soon! 🤗
Yesterday ended up being a spend day as remembered a birthday I had forgotten, and had to go out and get an emergency presie. Decided to combine my next shop too and stock up on basics at the same time. Made up for it today though!
Today = NSD number 3
Trying the envelope system for budgeting is working well. Yesterday I had to count up what I was buying in the supermarket, and when I hit my limit had to stop - so had to prioritise what I wanted to keep and what to put back. Next morning and put that day's money in. I have put fuel money in an envelope and have another for my haircut etc.
Going for a walk in a bit to clock up some steps so I'll bid you all good night!⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Today was a spend day. Did plenty of walking getting around different shops for the items I got. Binned some things.
Grateful for:
Getting nearly everything I needed to buy for kitchen, had to replace some items. Kept putting this off for quite a while. All washed and put away. Only one item left that I need to get.
