Sending love to anyone who is going through a hard time or unwell ❤️Not a NSD today. Went to Tesco and got some bits for the festive day which must not be named. Was all proud of myself for walking there following the walk to nursery. Then when I got home I discovered that I had dropped my keys either in the shop or on the walk! By this point I have a slightly grumpy, newly potty training/nappyless toddler who has spent a lot of the last 90 minutes in the pushchair and won’t use the travel potty. Not to mention the fact that it was about 90 mins til I needed to pick up my 4yo from nursery again and with no access to the car (I always drive to get him in the afternoon)... just as I was about to melt down I thought I’d try the back door as I’m always leaving it unlocked and joy of joys I had forgotten to lock it and got in! (The back gate was locked but I know the trick to unlock it from the outside which only works if you have small hands lol). Still no way to use the car so I did an extra hour’s walk today over what I’d planned and I’m sore now, but at least we weren’t locked out of the house! And Red returned from working up north just after dinner time, and he has a key to the car so now I can drive again 😂 will go to Tesco tomorrow and hopefully recover the keys or else I’ll have to dip into the emergency fund to replace them.
Today I’m thankful to my extremely lax home security and to my children who were very well behaved given they spent all morning walking about. And also for the chocolate Red brought me when he came home 🙂Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Tuesday- still NSD 10/15. Online order today for some bits and pieces- I must now STOP spending money 🤣. But tomorrow I have arranged to collect and pay for a facebook purchase, so I guess strict money control starts on Thursday.
Bluegreen- glad you made it into the house- hope the keys turn up.
My to-do list is about 3 pages long and doesn't seem to be shrinking- aiming for 1 big and 2 small items off it tomorrow as well as all the usual laundry and cooking bits, and occupying DD as she's on holiday this week.

@Bluegreen143 I locked myself out of my flat recently, bleeding nightmare. Hope your keys show up.
So another NSD yesterday, so now I am on 11, with 10 days to go, seems very doable right now.
Been very busy, started a university course and had a report to write from last Thursday finsihed it yesterday, it was hanging over my head and stressing me out a bit. But now its done, and sort of gettign used to sitting on my hall office to work and 'go to' lectures.
Heard yesterday that me DD has a new job, it means more contact with people and potentailly the virus - she was previosuly sheilding so it is a bit of a concern, but she has to live, and do what is right for her. Will try not to worry (and drink wine) and go and see her next month.
I was very focusessed in looking after me last night. I wanted a NSD and I had ran out of wine. I have been drinking a fair bit since I recived some very dificult news on the 9th of September. It was a bottle a night for a while and then I cut it down to a bottle every 2 nights, and last night - no wine. I was determined. I did it, but I did go to bed very early! I am pleased that I didn't nip out for a bottle and spend money and I am pleased that no wine was drunk. Need to get it down to weekends only. For my health, and wealth.

Hoping to get another NSD today. Waiting in for someone to look at snags in apartment (over a year on from moving in lol) and he is half an hour late 😤 - bloody contractors are a law unto themselves. Have gym later on and a walk. Must dodge shopping area - I have loads of food in. Will make sure I am not hungry when I go out.
Hugs icc86 - get well soon. I prescribe duvet day!!!
Have a good day everyone! x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

So glad you got in Bluegreen, nightmare when you loose your keys. I realised the other day, I had come away from my dd house with her keys in my coat pocket, so had to drive back to hers.Today was going to be a NSD but bought a foam roller to help my back and legs. Is this medical expense? Does it count? Apparently it is not a pleasant experience and painful when you use it,so knotted upso will try anything.Grateful forWednesday hump day, half way there.Weather looking nice now.Ringing D/ G insure my fridge/ freezer dont usually do this but it was a really expensive one, said I was going to cancel and they reduced the premium by £48 a year Win win.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/227

I have to admit I had a bit of a black moment today. Restrictions extended in Scotland and we’ll undoubtedly be in a very high level tier. Our annual holiday with friends in the Lake District is looking very unlikely. It just seems never ending. Not that that is important given what other people are coping with. But I’ve picked myself up, put on my brave face and on we go. We are so much luckier than other people so you just have to count your blessings and get on with it. Easy for me to say because I don’t have to worry about money or a job or loneliness . Just look after yourselvesHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7

Today I am grateful for going to the gym, for a useful z00m meeting, for a decent waterproof coat, for writing a couple of cards to people, for dd's brace being A-OK.
