fwiw, have you tried contacting NOW via online chat?

A popup should appear in bottom right corner of web browser.

I0 tried to contact them with a question (now answered by someone on here) and was very frustrated by the bot taking me in circles then referring me to community, with no ,usually given by others, phone call option.
Something that I found when thinking of joining ,last year , was that they don't include security. This and the fact that my sister's friend lost her number, put me off.

I noticed NOW TV offer broadband and it's very reasonably priced.  Anyone using it?  Happy with it?
Hi, I've had now broadband for a year, no issues. BUT I'm trying to switch to Shell and being told that I have to have a new phone number! Having called Shell, they said that certain companies, especially Sky and Now (owned by Sky) "keep" your phone number and allocate it to another customer. I checked Ofcom and this has been contrary to their regulations for over a year. There is little published about this issue, yet it is a real problem. Perhaps the money saving expert team could investigate?

I am considering moving from sky to Now (which is sister company of Sky)  however Sky will not allow you to take your main phone number with you - becasue it is their sister company!
How wrong on so many levels is that ...?   I intend to take the matter further.
  • sorry think i typed my comments in worng section.
I am considering moving from sky boradband & phone to Now as Now is over half the price.
After numerouosl calls to both companies it now appears that sky will not allow by hone number of over 30 years to move to Now - because it is their sister company, how wrong on so many levels is that?!
I have written to compain, but won't hold my breath for a reasonable explanation.

If a person doesn't use their landline then why should the complain about having a new number? Some elderly people or others who have caller ID as part of their phone contract for their employer to contact them might want to keep the number but the majority wouldn't care less what number they were given by a new supplier if their old supplier kept their old number they might have had for decades.
Someone please tell me what money is

I moved from Sky to Now BB and I kept my number, so have others that I know of. I don't see any reason why your number wouldn't still move to the new provider.

FYI, this thread is over a year old so it would've been better to start a new thread.

I can confirm that my dad's move from Sky BB to Now TV BB went live today and he hasn't lost his landline number.
