Returning Second Hand Cars

It was a perfect little car flew through MOT everytime....Perhaps Vauxhall developed a self undersealing engine but did not tell anybodyWe had a 1.6 Peugeot 306 petrol, and that used to drink more oil than petrol! (..well not quite). We complained and were told it was "within acceptable limits". Pretty much every other car we have owned has never used any oil between services....in fact you have just reminded me I had better go out and check them for oil levels!!

What are your grounds for rejection?
Do you know who you need to see when you get there?0 -
Engine fault unresolved by RAC garages included in my warranty.
Not exactly know who.0 -
As per the beginning of this thread, it is not clear that you have a case to reject the car, especially after the time that has elapsed since purchase.
You really need to know who you are going to speak to if you go to the trader, otherwise you will be speaking to the Saturday Assistant Receptionist who has no authority to make any decision and no knowledge of what to do. What will you do then? Scream and shout? Leave your car keys on the desk in a huff and walk out? Will the garage then charge you storage for the car going forwards? If you handle this wrong, it really could end up another fine mess, as Laurel & Hardy would have depicted.0 -

Physically return the car, the keys, all other materials and paperwork relating to it... then issue a small claim for the value. Will the garage then charge you storage for the car going forwards?
If the court don't agree that the return was justified, then the trader would certainly have that right.0 -

This Friday the dealership mislead me to think that the garage that does work for them had space so I could just pop in on the Saturday and the vehicle will be sorted. So I had to book a slot the following week which is this week Friday because they only do mot's during the week.0

I thought you were going to reject the car, now it is being MOT'd on Friday 25th?
What happened to the engine fault?0
