No. It's sole function is to alert about spammers. Admin do seem to monitor it though as if a report is made quickly a ban can be implemented with just one or two spam reportshb2 said:Does the 'spam' thread do anything more (or more quickly) than simply reporting the offending posts? It's not difficult!

And the SPAM is back again, what is MSE doing about all this?1

Have just reported a few up to 5 spam & now they have all gone. They would go a lot quicker if more people reported as spam. Some had 12 views but only 2 spam❤️Mum 2018

We are deleting it as soon as possible, and/or reporting the worst offenders, but please remember the site is not moderated 24/7, and we are just volunteers, with jobs, so we do our best.

Some of the people who were active this morning had 30 spam reports, but could still create new posts. Can this be looked at so new posters are restricted earlier?

I'm subject to flood control due to posting too many reports in a short time but spammers seem to manage to post frequently. Mad isn't it?JCS1 said:Some of the people who were active this morning had 30 spam reports, but could still create new posts. Can this be looked at so new posters are restricted earlier?1 -
People are hesitant to report as Spam even against the ones who have been banned multiple times, but keep coming back with new user names and same subjects etc, as they are probably worried they will get a warning from Admin.Skint_yet_Again said:Have just reported a few up to 5 spam & now they have all gone. I can think of at least 2 like this - one keeps coming back with the same questions (which is what gives them away). I think they had nearly 10 old user names!Hasbeen said:
