I've been told off for labelling troll posts as spam. The user gets banned, as they usually do, but the warning stays.I did once send a report in saying "this troll post has wrongly been labelled as spam. Could the troll member have the spam reports removed please"? They were banned very quickly after that1

It really doesn't help when admin approve spam. I just had the message "The Thread was already approved by MSE_ForumTeam2 on 21 September 2020 at 2:45PM." On a post with 24 spam reports touting the usual Quickbooks support.

I’m pretty sure they’re back already.CocoM2020 said:
I can think of at least 2 like this - one keeps coming back with the same questions (which is what gives them away). I think they had nearly 10 old user names!Hasbeen said:
People are hesitant to report as Spam even against the ones who have been banned multiple times, but keep coming back with new user names and same subjects etc, as they are probably worried they will get a warning from Admin.Skint_yet_Again said:Have just reported a few up to 5 spam & now they have all gone. They would go a lot quicker if more people reported as spam. Some had 12 views but only 2 spam0 -
Yes, I was amazed when I clicked to report that as spam. Perhaps some error?waamo said:It really doesn't help when admin approve spam. I've used the main report system but that can take days.4justice2 said:

Once it has been approved I don't think any further clicking of spam makes any difference as the "approved" message is simply displayed and the spam report goes no further - only "report" might be read.
