    Happy New Year.

We didn't stay up. We were in bed at 9pm. We were all shattered after yesterday's walk 🤣🤣🤣

Happy New Year @alt80 - New year isn't really our thing really tbh we normally hit bed early, but I am on call for work today so was up a bit later than usual but was tea for me too hahaha. Here is to 2022, just wanted to wish you the best mate. You continue to impress me with you shear determination despite still facing some challenges.

Happy New Year Alt - I'm another one who had a quiet NYE. Usually we would be out in a local pub watching a band but I saw the new year in whilst sitting in bed and doing the countdown to midnight with my mum on the phone.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
  • Happy New Year alt80 and to everyone else on the thread. Let’s hope 2022 is the year Covid finally gets kicked into touch. 🤞(I’ve just had omicron for the last week - what a pain!)

Alt - you’ve achieved so much in 2021, you should be really proud of yourself. Wishing you good luck in 2022 in consolidating your finances but also in continuing the good work on your mental health and the great progress you’ve made in appreciating and spending time with your family and the positive people in your life. All the tools and techniques you’re employing and the work with the pros seems to be really paying off for you. You must have worked so hard on yourself as the difference between your early posts, where you sounded in absolute turmoil in some of them, to now is amazing. I can’t imagine how difficult at times it must have been for you but you’ve definitely come out the other side. Just keep doing what you’re doing and I’m sure 2022 will be a great year for you and you’ll achieve your goal of feeling happier in yourself. 😃

Happy new year all and thank you for the kind messages.

Had a quiet morning cooking a small chicken roast - bit odd for a Saturday especially as we have a roast lunch planned for tomorrow too.

No real other plans for the day, just be a walk and feel just about well enough to start thinking about the year ahead. Started the happiness calendar again, wife and son are doing it too. Tbf it’s something they do at school and something my in laws do of course I used to think it was stupid but idk give anything a try ha.
