First Steps to Solvency

Day 27 through and we're at 90% of goal 1; be !!!!!! buzzing if my son got that on a test ha.

Wife picked car up this afternoon, mate piled it up with spares fml what he thinks I'm going to do with that lot idk. Wife picked son up and took him for a little run out and a Maccys for son to have a McFlurry that 100 shocked me lol but he loved it, properly buzzing. By the time I got home she'd put the spares at the back of the garage already tripping me off a bit all that !!!!!! at the back of my garage. We're going to get some boxes and spend a bit of time organising it. My mate has a lax attitude to throwing things away - not a hoarder exactly but has some of those tendencies. H/m pizza and went for a little run in the car. My wife was shown how to drive it properly ('crash' 1st so it crunches like a !!!!!! if you get it wrong) so she spent the entire time I was driving giving me the full backseat driving experience before showing me how to drive it properly ha fml. I've not driven a manual car for years that's my excuse but still managed to ring it round to 7k in 2nd a few times. This thing is about as tuned as one of these can be don't normally rev out much according to my mate but it's still slow as !!!!!! haha does feel a bit quicker than it is though and actually a lot of fun. Mrs going !!!!!! mental every time I opened it up a bit though telling me I'll pay for it if I break it lol. Good evening anyway.

No money spent today either me or the wife my mate knows I'm hard up filled the car to the brim haha. Taking them out for a meal on Sunday.

All three of us still struggling with the hay fever will be glad when that's over my son was a real mess apparently when wife picked him up from school earlier. !!!!!! horrible to see your kid struggling.

@DayDreamerandGeneralWaster haha definitely. I'm actually loving seeing my retained slowly working it's way back up can't !!!!!! wait for it to get to where it was get some units bought if the right deals come up. 

@getmore4less Like that mate 100%. Fml I'll be thanking you and a few others from here for helping make me rich one day lol. Seriously a lot of your posts make me think even if it does take my !!!!!! pickled brain months for things to sink in these days. 

Res market is slowing a little rn something I'm noticing internally and through just speaking to others generally summer hols often slower still and then we'll be going into winter.

Day 28 - 4 weeks. 👍

No spends planned, lot of work planned and a bit of life ha. Leg day completed and 3km run - keeping up with exercise. No !!!!!! clue what my Mrs is cooking for dinner though ha.

Congratulations on reaching 28 days. That is a major achievement. 

Had a little chuckle to myself about you with a boot full of MG spares and no idea what to do with them

Haha he piled the thing to the !!!!!! roof. Got a spare set of wheels and steering wheel and a load of other stuff wife is now trying to make her mind up if she wants to put the other ones on fml she’s loving it. I’ve told her it’s a car not !!!!!! Barbie doll.

Anyone else confused re BoJo travel restrictions? Apparently if had x2 jabs can travel to amber countries. What’s the situ with kids though? I’m still hoping to go to Greece in October - don’t fully understand the situation is it going to be can travel with evidence of x2 jabs and not need to pay £1750/person I think it is to stay in some hotel post hol / family visit. Also does visiting family count as ‘essential’??? My parents are both in their 70s so they are quite old now so maybe something there idk? Neither ill or anything though not sure how the UK gov would know anyway. Lastly we are not going straight there but can’t get there directly anyway so I don’t see what difference a few nights will make that’s not visiting family but I suppose they could count this as a hol rather than essential. Tbh I can’t work this out, Mrs can’t work it out. Sister not talking to me but probably knows the !!!!!! answer she’s the BoJo moves expert. Parents just said turn up anyway and deal with UK later fml. Staff !!!!!! clueless too we’ve all lost the plot re BoJo 100% !!!!!! discussing politics off for footy, tennis and Love Island keeping it classy as always lol.

I’m on a few FB travel groups and some of them are going to amber countries. You have to have Covid tests done before you go and before you travel back to the UK. Then quarantine at home for 10 days. I think this will be scrapped by October though. You should be fine. I’m going nowhere unless they scrap the tests, sounds like a right faff.

@Sun_Addict thank you! It’s getting !!!!!! ridiculous now mate. I’ve had a Covid test and it’s !!!!!! horrible. 

Who polices the home quarantine? Notts police def got better things to do than coming knocking on my door to make sure I’m sitting in my house after going to Greece. I can’t realistically be off work 2 weeks and 2 weeks more without being able to leave the house and son will need to be back at school I doubt BoJo will give me a refund haha.
