Why are you still answering phone calls from druggie Guy who sponges off his parents? Sounds like a wasted evening for you.
Fully agree with this. Block his number if needs be.

I had a very quick look at the canni cross site and I cant see a group in nottingham but as I dont know that area at all it would be worth you looking as I think it would benefit you wife (when her foot is right) and the dog and give her some new friends. There may also be a way for you and your son to become involved as well. I know you said you are not a runner but going with your mutt might make it a little more appealing.

Wife dragged me up for breakfast and workout this morning. 😆 Definitely could have stayed in bed. She’s decided if I get up I’ll 100 go bed at a better time after a few days. Feel ok now but not sure I’ll be thanking her later.

@enthusiasticsaver he’s a mate and I’m concerned about him. Definitely goes through some bad phases with it. Hear you re wasted evening. Agree tbh.

Only mate I have who doesn’t touch the stuff and isn’t my wife, works for me or my mentor in business is the one with the MG. Trying to avoid him tbt keep away from cars.

My wife is propping me up tbh really looking after me. Lucky to have her still I know. Going to make her a three course dinner valentines night, get some fresh flowers, make an effort and light the candles haha. She likes that stuff tbh nothing wrong with making an effort really hoping she enjoys it something for her to smile about in lockdown.

@RelievedSheff I know where you’re coming from re blocking easier said than done when concerned about someone imo.

@ladyholly thanks. Dog is starting to be a tiny bit less of a nightmare lol. I’ll run about 5km enjoy a short run tbh just don’t really care for the distance running.

Being concerned for someone doesn't mean that you have to be at their beck and call 24/7.

He was out of order ringing you three times and disturbing your evening with the family. If you are going to stay in touch with him (which I personally think is a big mistake) then you are going to have to set some ground rules around when and where he can contact you.

3 weeks in and the positive difference is shining through.
I understand your concerns over mate and it's good that you recognise the dangers.

One thing I notice in life is sometimes you have to segregate.

It is clear you need to manage mate(and similar) away from other parts of your life starting with family.

You don't need those influences around your son.

Total block may be hard but for now definitely needs to be kept at a distance, can you catch him when he is more sensible to chat about things rather than waiting for him to call you when wasted?
Try to transfer all the business stuff to your employee, if he asks can you do the I don't know talk to....

If you look back you can see how the substances have been a significant part of your social development as you allowed it to far into your life.

I see a date night in your future, max it out with a family day as well.

I think your weekend plan sounds great. I'm sure your son is going to love baking bread with you.
