Keep it going mate, everyday you’re a step closer to feeling better. Chang is just going to mean putting yourself through this hell again and you don’t want that. You’ve got this. Sleep as much as you need.

@warby68 that’s another way of looking at it I suppose thanks.

Bit odd reviewing everything with the business etc thinking about putting resources to best use and I start to become redundant from my own company - it functions without me. Did set up like that a few years ago - knew I was going mental and couldn’t cope so I knew best using resources = my own !!!!!! redundancy and also know it’s madness to sit typing reports etc while one of my admin sits about a lot of the time. Can’t accept letting go tbh don’t know what to do with myself outside work. People on here right about it not being an hours thing really, I just find stuff to do - work is my life haha. Bringing projects/ BTLs in house 100% right thing to do actually pleased of the nudge in the right direction tbh and looking at recruitment again but still want a life - realising this is going to turn into a 2/3 day a week job using my resources properly makes me feel ill tbh. I know it’s actually a good thing/ good sign of actually moving forwards. Not going to be great for business growth if I up the amount of fee earners I do - can be a bit of a consuming job, think I’ve got enough to keep my hand in whilst using resources and working on the growth.

@ryanm8655 thanks mate. Yeah definitely want to keep away from it still tbh. The sleep thing really annoying me - always knew I needed sleep but hate it at the same time. Just a waste of time ha.

    Yeah I know re sleep.

Tbh I also want to spend money too today haha. Half think it gives a bit of excitement. Lockdown 1 I thought sustainable was def the way forwards, still do really but really need a buzz now. Didn’t even get that much of a buzz completing on the new project - set up so I’m not as involved as I was should be buzzing it’ll 100 be easier money than I’m used to ha but just seems like it’s another step closer to swimming in the big pool of nothingness and having no life ha.

Having spare capacity gives you scope to do fee earners, cover holidays & sick sick and when there is enough get an extra body in and free up time again.

If you can have the current stuff ticking over with 2-3 days then your main challenge is scaling up what you have.

If that is not enough or too easy then you need to really challenge yourself.

Bringing in dev projects is going to need some thought and time but is what you know so going to be relatively easy to integrate into the current business.

Maybe you need the bigger challenge of looking for a new diversification to build up a new revenue stream that you can build up from scratch.

Maybe there is another property related area you are not into yet.

I know what you mean re: buying stuff ha. I've put a ban on buying anything that isn't an urgent need until I've gone through and worked out the finances. Started looking at pictures and stuff for flat last night and had that urge for instant gratification. Resisted though. Someone pointed out in 5 weeks it'll be spring and the weather will be nice again. My worry now is having wasted this opportunity to save and having no money saved before things do open up again. One issue with the week at a time mindset...I start thinking very short term on the money front too...

I get you on the buzz front, lockdown is tough. Moments where things seem ok and then suddenly you remember what's going on. Plus you've got a lot of other things going on. Personally I'd look at the setting things up to work without you as freeing up your time for other things, whether that's a bit more time with family, hobbies, or even other work where you add more value and can be more productive for the business/put your time into other projects? In the shorter-term it gives you the breathing space to get the sleep back on track, focus on the counselling and getting over the substance issue.

Haha! My family say similar to me...think I said something about how boring my life had become as all I do is go to the supermarket, work and sleep...their response was that that is life  Maybe my expectations for life are too high ha.

@RelievedSheff haha FML. Tbf probably just reminiscing on the highs and trying to forget the lows. Missing the shops being open glad they’re not so no temptation. Reminds me toward the end of lockdown 1 wife was !!!!!! desperate to get her make up fix, said to me she felt like raiding Boots - only place that was open, she doesn’t even usually buy it from there lol. First weekend of freedom both of us absolutely hammered says it all haha. At the moment she’s all into the whole sustainable lifestyle thing gets her more messages from girls she’d lost touch with. Think she’s got enough meet ups after lockdown planned to last two years lol. Girls she did nails with mainly so no JL raids - going for a !!!!!! dog walk haha. Probably need some of that in my life.

@getmore4less Thanks mate. Yeah relatively easy re projects - got 2 staff that are interested/ motivated one of them with previous experience so def taking time but not as much as it usually would tbh. Accepted offers for 2 more units in the dev block weird to be seeing that going slowly tbh really close with it. Honestly thought it was going to ruin me end of an era, same with all this other stuff ha.

Just getting a bit down at the moment tbh the sleep issues massively affecting my ability to do much - reluctance to take too much on - back to feeling like !!!!!! - start wondering if this is it for me and back to the same BS all over again. Hope the professionals working on my head will sort me out and I keep with the programme sort myself out with the help but been here before never got to the point of being 100% so need to get back to the one day at a time thinking from a personal perspective.

@ryanm8655 mate I could go and spend like a !!!!!! madman today ha. I’ve kept off looking for art for your flat this time ha - I’ll buy 100% lol, got into that myself at one point spent quite a lot of money on paintings/ wall art etc. Wife loves a lot of sentimental !!!!!! on the walls - photos of her family and our son basically, so sold a fair few of the things I’d bought to my sister a few years back. Looks amazing in her place, interiors properly thought out, no twee !!!!!! there haha.

Not too long until spring feels like a lifetime away though mate and no one knows when this lockdown going to end all just a bit depressing tbh.

You need to help the professionals sort out your head. It has to be a two way thing.

You are doing great. One day at a time is as good a way as any.
