Alt you mentioned your son setting a seed.
Start small and see how things grow.
In a few weeks get a packet of Sunflower seeds, a small bag of compost and some small plant pots. (Wilko is your friend )
All 3 of you set a couple of seeds at the same time ( start them off on the kitchen windowsill ) and when you have planted them out in the garden you have a competition to see who's grows tallest.
Take photos every week and it could end up as a school project for your son.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.4 -

Read wrong day for happier January it was try something new to get out of your comfort zone. Only saw tonight after having a nap haha tbh I feel !!!!!! generally. Not touched the stuff but I’m not very well another reason to stay away from it tbh always feeling ill mentally or physically in some way. Trying to keep as upbeat as possible tbh working on the cbt stuff the counsellor gave me, the addiction workbook, chill app, the whole lot. Need everything in my kit to get through this ha. The something new was doing a few pages of the addiction book. Also helping my son to plant a seed in a pot as he’s quite interested in nature and something he wanted to do, I’m def not a gardener haha.
Wild Friday night in continued with watching a film with the wife in bed and a chamomile tea. Not worked for me still awake but am at least a bit tired.
Need to get back to monitoring figures, not gonna lie had a few days off hence no updates on debts.

Your not feeling well could just be your body wondering where all the stimulants are. It will have got used to you taking them.
The not feeling well will wear off given a bit of time.
You do sound generally more relaxed and more level headed these last couple of days. Maybe lay off the figures this weekend and just try to have some relaxed family time instead.3 -
You do sound more relaxed @alt80.
Do you have good advice from the professionals how to handle feeling ill when you're not using?
Cooking with son - that would be another good activity that fits your skills. I get why its hard work when you want to get a meal on the table but he's there because he wants to join in. Cooking or baking with children is great fun - they are so pleased when they make something. Why not give it a go? Not for the main meals perhaps - but a lunch or just a separate activity. Home made chicken nuggets are a good one and any baking - pretty messy but they love dunking in all the bowls. Quite healthy too as you bake rather than fry.
If he wants to help with normal cooking start giving him jobs, setting the table etc, fetching things. Watching the timer/clock and letting you know when its on the right number etc.
You need very close supervision to make sure the hands stay clean and away from noses and bums etc lol but you must do this as you WILL be expected to eat the end result ha ha.
Do you do home made popcorn for your movies? An adult will probably have to do it but the popping and transformation is quite the miracle when you're 7.
Have no idea how to come off drugs but do know about managing other difficult times when just getting through a day is hard. Break the day into small chunks. Plenty of little things to do so you don't spend too much time on any one thing or get lost in your head - even make an actual timetable/ plan for what to do that if you have to. Nothing too taxing or complicated but things that feel good or are a bit useful help as it doesn't feel like wasting time then. Don't shut yourself off but do take small breaks from others when you need to. Physical stuff better than mental stuff. Don't overthink. If you actually hate the thing you're doing move on. Just play the game of passing the time and getting tired - a 7y old is a perfect foil for this type of day. Sorry if that all sounds a bit trite and 'buzz' free but it does get you there.5 -
Worse day today. OK when I’m working but stopped for lunch - needed a break and right back to really struggling with guilt. Tbh feeling like !!!!!! triggers the cravings. Haven’t touched the stuff been on the chill app / employing the the whole one day/ hour/ minute at a time thing ha. Realised I turn to it often just to get rid of the self loathing when all it leads to is more. Same thing with the spending when it’s out of control and negative thoughts about where I am in business. Really do wonder if the right thing to do would be to let my family go often think that but selfish stuff stops me probably would go into full self destruct and I don’t want that constant !!!!!! guilt for the past affecting my productivity too. !!!!!! vicious cycle tbh. Constantly thinking it’ll all change for me when I’m ‘successful in business’ can’t even tell you what that point is for me even, work on the growth yes but no ultimate goal / point where I think yep got ‘successful in business’ ticked off haha - never going to be ok working to a ‘goal’ with no actual measurable target lol.
@Grumpelstiltskin he’d love that mate thanks! Going to give it a go- when do they need to be planted I assume it’s probably about a months time?
@enthusiasticsaver not sure how the population itself is responsible for a vaccine rollout?
@RelievedSheff yeah think you’re right re general health stuff 100 don’t recover as quickly from it at my age feel !!!!!! ancient at times ha. Wife is like you asleep early don’t know how you do it lol.
Working today dreading tomorrow ha. Wish I never needed a break from the work- wouldn’t !!!!!! up as much can tell you that but can’t go at the work 24/7 either haha.
@warby68 yeah professionals are helping always were I just wasn’t engaging. Never been good at doing as I’m told ha remember when I was at school started being a general little !!!!!! carried on until my parents told me I could forget splitting any profits from the car nights I organised if I kept getting into to trouble and not taking my education seriously. Didn’t believe them, had a massive night middle of summer load of cars, big takings, !!!!!! buzzing. Sorted the numbers out and parents took the !!!!!! lot haha. Never messed about at school again can tell you that lol.
Son would love that tbf. Struggle with the patience a lot of the time no surprises there. Ha I’ve done popcorn he goes mad for it lol.
Really trying with the breaking stuff down trying to catch myself in the bad moments pull myself out of it. Really hard work tbh keep failing with it. Well aware I don’t sort this stuff now not going to be good for my son. Not good for wife but I never have been good for her tbt.

Alt Middle of March is the earliest to set the seeds.
Make sure you have the tall sunflowers, it usually shows final height on the back of the packet.
Packet may say plant straight in ground but starting them indoors is better Oh and get a tub of slug pellets as slugs love them when they are first planted out.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.2 -

Set some if that's what you need.
I don't know what is sensible but if coasting for 5 years how about
Main business 15% YOY, can break that down to your sub sectors and set them targets, throw in say 4 projects 1 a quarter but only if they can return say 20%+ .to act as a fall back to hit or break target You have your first one the hall keep looking but get the right one for Q2.
The block is your seed money for the projects and can go towards the target for the management and feed into units.
BTL business 20%(rounded to units) growth of total and 5% reduction in gearing to increase equity.
if the block hits that unit target make it bigger
Adjust if needed, try to make them achievable because you need your people to believe they can do them
