@getmore4less haha re champagne who knows.

Currently food is lumped in with alcohol, general stuff and random unexpensed coffees with a £650/m budget. Wife is meant to be doing the spreadsheet for food/ others and start splitting this stuff out.

I’ve considered taking alcohol spends out many times. Should set a budget with it though I’m off the booze right now can’t see me never having a drink again tbt.

Waste - definitely better. Meals a bit more bland to be honest but definitely less being thrown in the bin. Hoping these food plans will reduce further too.

Got a couple of sporks when I saw them cheap(50p) in Tesco a while back
    a bit like this one
Summit Quattro All in 1 Spork | Blacks
    Loads of portable camping solutions

For the dirty jobs a cheap set of coveralls will save the wife having to sort out the RR when you get back.
for your type of jobs a decent disposable(<£10) will  last a few times or could go even cheaper £2.
or a cheap emergency poncho £1 would help.

@Alt80 maybe you can both do the meal planning together and come up with some meals that are less bland but are still healthy and cutting down on the food waste. Then you can all cook the meals together, get your son involved too.

Rishi has a solution for all us poor indebted souls looking for a £500 bonus off the credit cards. Catch the ‘rona and he’ll give you an extra £500 to isolate at home for a week. Heard he’s even offering some the chance of a month’s holiday, staying fully inclusive at the QMC. I’m going to have to give it a miss but there for the taking if you’re feeling up for the chal.

Have a alcohol budget, if it does not get spent  you can still have some for your Xmas guests, already on budget and not have to raid from another category, You like a xmas food blow out that will need something  over the regular monthly.

I think that is a ridiculous proposal but Bojo has refused it anyway.

@getmore4less good call whilst they’re all takeaway only. For all the corona restrictions, the two women serving in this cafe had visors but seemed to have no idea what they were for, just placed on top of head not over the face lol.

Do have the coveralls mate, not gonna lie the state of this cellar took me by surprise, already down there so just got on with it. 2 badly decomposed rats too.

Agreed re alcohol budget and planning ahead for inevitable christmas spends. Not sure I dare mention christmas to wife anytime soon ha. Wife and I still getting through christmas chocs, had 2 each tonight actually going to miss that treat when they’re gone lol.

@RelievedSheff not a bad plan that. I’m still cooking twice a week, quite enjoy it tbh. Had son ‘helping’ me !!!!!! nightmare. Wife won’t even let him close when she’s cooking lol 100% got that one right. He’s crazy in the kitchen wants to touch everything.

@enthusiasticsaver/ @RelievedSheff BoJo good for something eh? 100 a stupid call, actually think some of my tenants would deliberately seek to catch it tbh haha.

Re tax rises - meant to be coming after ltds. Great.

Read wrong day for happier January it was try something new to get out of your comfort zone. Only saw tonight after having a nap haha tbh I feel !!!!!! generally. Not touched the stuff but I’m not very well another reason to stay away from it tbh always feeling ill mentally or physically in some way. Trying to keep as upbeat as possible tbh working on the cbt stuff the counsellor gave me, the addiction workbook, chill app, the whole lot. Need everything in my kit to get through this ha. The something new was doing a few pages of the addiction book. Also helping my son to plant a seed in a pot as he’s quite interested in nature and something he wanted to do, I’m def not a gardener haha.

Wild Friday night in continued with watching a film with the wife in bed and a chamomile tea. Not worked for me still awake but am at least a bit tired.

Need to get back to monitoring figures, not gonna lie had a few days off hence no updates on debts.
