I assumed Martin wanted to draw a line under the sniping (to which I responded to, I admit, should have treated it with the contempt it deserved really) and continue discussing the thoughts of the programme. Sorry I didn't realise the thread was only open to those who wish to fall at Martin's feet and praise everything he does?

This is a mighty fine site, and Martin has done absolutely amazing things, he also seems a genuinely very nice guy.

However there may be times when some of us feel what he is doing might not be quite the right thing. There are a few that see him going more and more into the public eye or the limelight or whatever you wish to call it and wonder if that is the right thing to do. It is a valid POV as much as those that disagree. If we feel this is of concern we have every right to say so an express our views. The views of us and also those who have expressed the other opinion allow both sides to be expressed and those who are unsure to form their own opinions.

It is an adult forum so lets all behave in an adult fashion?

I think you have a difficult job to do as you cant please everyone. But i may be wrong in what i am about to write.Hasnt the same thing with you prevoiusly promoting longest balance transfers with no fees caused now a shortage of cards available or were their other reasons why cc companies have stopped them? Personally i hardly ever shop at mr ts so it wont effect me.

On Monday I sent an email requesting tickets but haven't had any response.

Has anyone else had a response yet? I don't want to miss out!

Also when I first enquired I was told
"We are filming the show in Bayswater/Queensway (above Whitelys Shopping Centre), London on a Wednesday afternoon from the 9th January until the 12th March 2008."
Has this now changed as I think it was mentioned that filming was starting in February. Could someone please confirm filming dates?

I'm so jealous of everybody who's going to be getting up close and personal with Martin!

My husband says I should be in the front row of the audience, breastfeeding our baby shouting "Look Martin - free food! How moneysaving am I!? It's jo_b!" until I get evicted by security! :rotfl:

I'll be really pleased if 'real' MSE'rs get featured. Can their usernames be given? It'd be great to put faces to the names!

From what was said to me yesterday, unfortunately for legal reasons the site can't be mentioned at all so giving out user names without any reference to the site would be a bit random for any non-MSE viewers. But I bet most people who are involved will shout about it on here & you'll be able to work us out;)
FWIW, I'm Liz from West Molesey, although the producer was convinced we were in Kingston:rolleyes:, the short red-head in a grey top & a dilapated terraced house with a wood pile for a front garden on a main road. There, you should be able to spot me!



Oh, and I didn't get a chance to get up close & personal with Martin unfortunately, he wasn't here, he did send me a message today though, and there's always the studio show........!
