Just be careful which Tesco or Sainsbury's - they have to actually make bread there to have yeast (a lot of places cook ready made dough)0

I buy it in the the fridges in morrisons. Its in with the butters and margs.
I also get it from health food shops.0 -
You can get it from some health food shops.
Maybe the 'sell' bit is the problem. Asda have given it to me a few times but I never asked if they 'sold' it.
I use the orange tinned alinsons now though as you can reconstitute in water just like fresh, or mix it in dry so best of both worlds.0 -
i saw it in morrisons yesteday.
huge block for only a few pence.
Hope your able to get some .0 -
I bought some from sainsbury's last week0

IME Asda seem to give it away huge blocks free of charge, Tesco bakery dept look at you as if to say "Yeast? Don't have that here luv, you need a different department!", Sainsburys bread dept will sell it by weight, and Morrisons have it wrapped in about 30g cubes (look like old bath cubes!) in near their marg, as Funky Fairy says - 29p for about 125g."No matter how little money and how few possesions you own, having a dog makes you rich." - Louis Sabin0

I asked a bakery assistant in ASDA yesterday and he said "We don't sell it but free of charge we can give 50g away" so I jumped at the chance! He disappeared with an empty bag and came back with 64g it turned out, I didn't bother to try and self scan it, I just held it in my hand in an obvious sort of way, and the till controller didn't comment on it, even when I put it away after paying.IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0

seems a good idea to give it away. once you're in there where else are you going to buy your flour (not to mention walnuts, dried fruit, cheese, fried onions, olives... ooooh, must make some bread!)0
