- elec is 4900 kWh - very high compared with the average 3000 kWh
- gas is 18 x 11.2 = 10500 kWh - and its not even the heating season.
Just what are you using ?0 -
If the diverter valve was sticking all your radiators would heat up to some extent not just one or two !0

I'd say 4900kWh a year electric isn't that high for a house that size, it's around what we use-ish. Higher than average, yes, but not excessive.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
You're being ripped off. 4800kWh electricity here, £50 a month. 43,000kWh gas, £90 a month.0

Hi guys an update.
My direct debit gone up to £110+ on both gas and leccy now.
Are there any cheaper alternatuves and am i able to switch now without paying a fee or shall i wait till next month? Just got these 2 bills to show and my 2 readings today and due to the covid situation my smart meter is now getting installed on 22nd december. My plan ends 28 feb 210 -
From 7th october till today 923 units elec aversge of 16kwh per day.
Gas is 421 kwh averaging 7.8 per day0 -
From the bg app0 -
If those figures are accurate then you're using twice and much gas and twice as much electricity compared to the national average. Your tariff is also uncompetitive, hardly surprising when it's British Gas.Make sure you're not using an electric shower, that the immersion heaters are permanently switched off, and that you're not using any electric heaters.Find actual meter readings a year apart, then start comparing using Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which?'. Once again, make sure you're not still confusing gas cubic metres (m3) with kWh, and check whether separate suppliers are cheaper.Your loft conversion could be a culprit if it's not well insulated.0
