Meal was lovely, was so nice to eat out....and for someone else to do the washing up 😄
Done a few short runs this week, nothing amazing but keeping the legs ticking over which is impt.
Nothing much going on moneywise, cheap weekend ahead. Going to a friends for BBQ so just need to bring drinks and then a chilled day Sunday (for chilled read hungover 😆).Current mortgage (1 Jun 2022): £289,501 - originally £351,999 got to love London sized mortgages!
OP Goal 2022 = 3.75% in OPs: £6,975 / £13,200

Seriously....what is it with this weather?! I've got the heating on and trying to dry washing is a nightmare (old draughty house!). Mad for the end of May! Hoping it improves for tomorrows BBQ but its not looking likely!Current mortgage (1 Jun 2022): £289,501 - originally £351,999 got to love London sized mortgages!

Intended a very cheap food shop this weekend, but there were soooo many YS items it would have been rude not to pick up the bargains! And was Morrisons butchers meat so is normally reasonably good quality. Should mean cheap shops for next few weeks as we have enough meat for a good while....I really need a bigger freezer!
Should be a good week, boss is away so i can get work done but nothing too crazy!

Just catching up ... The weather is sh*t here too and pretty much has been since bank holiday Monday back in early May. What is going on?!
Good work with the YS bargains in the shops! Also not sure if you go to Lidl but some stores do fruit and veg boxes, £1.50 each for a big box of 7 or 8 different items. I often buy one of those and find they'll last us the whole week and I just need to top up with a bag of potatoes or whatever.Mortgage free as of March '25!
£240,000 paid off in 4 years, 8 months and 18 days (July '20-Mar '25)

I keep hearing about these Lidl veg boxes but never manage to get my hands on one 😆 I did get a wonky veg box from Morrisons down from £3 to 90p as part of my YS bargins! We only did a Ms shop this week because we needed alcohol for a BBQ! Back to Lidl this week and will hope for a veg box!Current mortgage (1 Jun 2022): £289,501 - originally £351,999 got to love London sized mortgages!

Husband only went and got himself a new job which includes a promotion! I'm so pleased for him, he's applied for about 20 without even a hint of an interview and each one takes an age cos of application forms and covering letters etc. It works out about a £10k pay increase which is insane! I'm so pleased for him as he really wanted to start moving up the professional ladder and also pleased for our finances! Should work about about £450 boost per month which is brilliant. I now need to come up with a plan for the money so it doesn't just get frittered away!
If I pass my probation in a few weeks (no reason I know of that I won't!) then I'll be getting a payrise too, but I'm planning on increasing my pension contribution as its very low at new job so actually won't be much extra £ in todays pocket, but hopefully a good bit extra in future rugby family pockets!
