Grocery slot bagged for click and collect on Friday after work. I will get a bigger shop delivered next week.
DD met after school and she drove me home. Driving instructor has never been high on my list of job aspirations, and now I know why.
Spent an hour in the gh, tidying up the finished tomato plants, picking the remaining tomatoes. Still more tidying to do, but it is a start.
DH still on the phone for work. Easy dinner once he is done (Tom Kerridge’s steak tacos with the accompaniments, yum), then once the kitchen is tidied, that will be me done.
Just remembered that I was supposed to be paying a bill today - whoops, better do it now...9 -

How is it already Tuesday evening?
Narco I used to volunteer at Duxford each Sunday when I was a teenager. I used to show people around concord, it was a long drive.
DS2 made it to college and stayed all day. There was a blip at lunchtime as they hadn’t fulfilled his requirement concerning his food aversion. I made a few calls and sorted it but he did really well by texting me. I have made 4 journeys to and from the city centre.
2x wm done

Pigpen I have just come to the conclusion that being a woman and getting older is no fun. Your comment about being organised the night before made me laugh because that is so me, I think I lasted a week when I went back to the office, and I dont have lots of small people to sort out. We all know that getting everything ready the night before makes life easier but who wants to do packups when you can sit down and watch telly/read/do something more interesting.
Anyway, big day tomorrow, important meeting which will be followed by my appraisal on Thursday and another important meeting on Friday. I will sort out my smartest work outfits so I look confident even if I dont feel it.
Full day at the paid stuff, ebay parcels sent in my lunch break, think the lady in Post Office was delighted by my haul (not), hoovered through downstairs and kitchen tidied. Off to get a few things ready for morning as I need to leave in good time, dont want to be rushing tomorrow.

Today I have
- finished sewing all the new cushion covers - they look great
- finished sewing the new pair of curtains apart from the enormous length of hand hemming: I decided to machine hem the lining
- supervised the decorator (who has done an excellent job of cleaning the guttering, repairing the fence, and doing the outside painting) and kept him supplied with coffee
- found a local mower repair shop that also sharpens shears (what I need) and repairs other garden tools
- sent various long emails
- made various long phonecalls
- done WMx2 and 5MI
- taken Rosie for her walk
- cooked lunch and evening meal, also stashed away 2 extra meals' worth of bolognese in the freezer
- sanitised the ensuite and the loo in the lobby
Oh, and having made a fuss at the GP surgery, DH received a phonecall this afternoon from the specialist ulcer clinic inviting him to a pop-up clinic tomorrow !!!!!
I am now officially shattered! Off to bed as soon as I've put out the bins. G'night all, and good luck for tomorrow, YL xx

so, after this mornings errand I have cleaned the kitchen properly (ie I stood on the stool and wiped doors all the way to the top; I can't reach other wise).
Cleaned bathroom. pegged out towels and then brought them back in when dry.
Cleaned bathroom.
Sorted through bag - items binned inc vintage lip gloss which was about 4 years old *shudder* and escaped Rennies which meant stuff in that mini bag (make up bag with useful bits in - mascara etc and emergency toothbrush in case I'm ever stuck at work in winter - I almost was, once...) was covered with white chalky powder so much wiping. I'm also going to have a covid bag with masks, gel etc in.
Changed electoral roll details - just me now.
Taken 5 bags to CS - I know I already posted this but I'm so pleased I got off my backside and hauled them out.
Binned heap of unwanted underwear/socks left on bed by DD. It's to be hoped she doesn't actually want it.
Binned shoes also left 'for getting rid of' (Must have words - she's perfectly capable of actually taking crap (which has been 'in storage') to the bin herself...)
Ironed.
Stripped and remade my bed.
Washing in WM ready to wash; DW not nearly full enough to run.
Now I've got the kitchen sorted (biggest job) I might be inspired to drag rest of house up to standard.
Put another book in guest room in bookcase. Put yet another book in recycling as it would not sell in CS. Goes against the grain but...
Dealt with query from DD about Premium Bonds. This revealed v. small pile of shredding/recycling so dealt with that.

Morning all
Once again I’ve been awake for a while, oh well, at least I’m off work and could have a snooze this afternoon if I need it. WM is swishing, I’m going to get myself ready and then do the rest of my dailies. I think the plan is to pop out for an hour or two today, we are considering changing DHs car as it’s very unlikely his will get through another MOT, we’ve looked at budgets so know what we want to spend, his car has been very reliable so he basically wants the same one in a newer model!Depending on how that goes DH will do some garden jobs later, I will tackle my office a bit and get some paperwork sorting done.
Have a good day x10
