Fireplace looks great Badcat.. Are you happier with it now?
Understair cupboard emptied.. DD2's stuff put in it.. binbag from middle room filled with rubbish, 4 loads of DS1's washing retrieved and thrown in the washers.. 2 lots are nearly done so will go on the line. DW emptiedd and reloaded..

I think my downstairs is actually looking a tiny bit less gross.

Pumpkin (fostercat) is howling at nothing.. she has been at it for about 10 minutes non-stop!

Between shifts at the moment, have almost done dailies.

Goodintentions

2 loads on the line, 1 in WM that will be swishing for a while yet. I have cleaned 2 toilets & 2 basins, put on DW, WULTD the rest of the pots & stones, wiped down the kitchen surfaces & hob. I have also cleaned the patio doors, in & out, because I taped the paintings to them to dry & there was paint on them! I did the back door as well while I was there.
I am going to the allotment now for some fresh air & exercise, despite a painful foot & hip - I will just ignore them! 😂

The fireplace looks great, Badcat.

I cannot do much today as the decorator is working here, there and everywhere - ensuite, front bedroom, study bedroom, and in and out through the side porch, utility, DR and HSL.  Rosie was very upset at first about him being here, but I shut her in the man cave with DH all morning and she is now resigned to his presence.
I am trying to send the last of my emails and texts, then I will go down and start hemming the new curtains: 7.5m of herringbone!

Afternoon all

Thanks for the comments on the fireplace, I am much happier with it now it blends in with the rest of the room! Bathrooms swished over here, wm loaded again for tomorrow, waiting for DH to get ready so we can go out, not sure that’s going to happen today so will sit and read my book for a while before starting supper, I want to make a double quantity tonight so one can be frozen for later use.

Okay so today - work done (chaos); order collected from Screwfix; DW unloaded, washing brought in, now need to go and fetch the children from school and drop a bag into the chazza on the way. Gammon, sausage, mash and beans for dinner. Oh and the paint has finally arrived for DD room so that's the weekend jobs sorted.

Pile of stuff to the shed, mint plants planted, under stair cupboard emptied, vacuumed and refilled, piles of stuff from under stairs sorted.. 4 boxes placed elsewhere, 2 in the shed and 1 in the bin, middle room commenced.. 2 binbags, a vauum cleaner full and 5 loads of washing so far.. OH putting a few pics back up in there.

I will have some sanity and floor in this hovel!

Off to do dinner.. Dot came out of school screaming.. she has eaten a tiny yoghurt and a piece of cucumber for lunch.. so, pizzas and twinks for tomorrow.. see how they go down!

Home, tea made (double) so tomorrows lunch is sorted.  Washing is still on the line; I assume it is dry.  Will collect shortly then I need to got for petrol or I will need rescuing tomorrow.  Have school sweatshirt in car as found on the playing field (village's field; not school's).  Two days with Y2 coming up - please please please let them be bug free...

Flying was mostly before school run and work. Even then it is only the dailies at best that have got done. DH announced that he was cooking tonight and now wants a medal. It was ready made pizza base with a bit of topping thrown on, for heavens sake. I have WULTD, as apparently he was the cook...

Thanks asb, today went well, managed to say what I wanted to say in the meeting, 8 hours done, tired now.  Swept kitchen and utility floor, finished washing off in tumbler, all folded and put away.  Another load in to hang out tomorrow.  Sausage casserole made for DH for tea, veggie casserole out of the freezer for me.  Feet up now.
