Evening
I don’t know where the day went. I want to be in, and really NEED to be in, but it might be touch and go. I got up 45 minutes earlier this morning (I vacated the WAC last night -yay!) and managed some dailies before work. I’m on the school run morning and afternoon as much as I can be now, as the busses just can’t cope with all the kids going back and social distancing. Long day at work again, scarcely time to slurp a cuppa soup, then back to tick a few more dailies off.
Now I have a cuppa and a notebook, ready to start some lists.
Hugs, sticks and spoons as needed x7 -
Hi all
7.5 hours paid stuff done, chicken casserole in sc for tea first thing, 2 x lasagnes made for tomorrow, LR dusted hoovered and tidied. Our fridge has died so DS has brought one he had in his work accomodation, he bought it second hand and the salad drawer is broken but otherwise its fine. A few things sold on ebay, only made £25 but its better than nothing.
DH went to work late but did nothing to help as I cleaned up after a long day. Oh and my thyroid levels are wrong yet again, 2 years now and still no sign of it stabilising. Bit fed up.
Bedtime soon, tomorrow is another day.10 -
YL.. They decided my thyroid was wonky after Twinkle was born and se was 4 in June and it is still awry.. in addition I have new allergies, low immunity and have developed asthma after having C19 in May... it's great fun!!

After a busy and 'on list' morning, the rest of the day shot by.
- cycled to visit MIL, who wasn't all that coherent today.
- had a long phone call from the daughter of my friend with the dog. Sadly dementia was diagnosed just after lockdown and she has been deteriorating rapidly - we'd noticed a few things but with hindsight there were a lot of odd comments. At least I know now what is going on and how best to continue being a friend e.g. walking her down to the village pub for coffee and croissants without risking alarming any family/carers who may think she has gone wandering.
- made a ginger cake
- finalised mr T order for collection tomorrow.
Hm, quite a lot on my list I haven't done; knew it was too optimistic.
GI yippee did you see that ParkRun is planning to re-start at the end of Oct? Just as the weather deteriorates.
I'm a bit alarmed to find that my drum tutor is currently in Italy and is returning to teaching next Monday; I know he is Italian and at present there isn't a quarantine requirement, but hope he doesn't pick anything up off the plane. One area in Herts, not too close to me but close enough for concern, has a high Covid level. Oh dear here we go again.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Morning all
We are off out for the day so flying will be minimal, pack ups made last night, I will get brekkie and a cuppa then do my dailies before we head out.
Have a good day all x7 -
Morning all,
Slept terribly last night, I was making my shopping list at 1am. Thankfully on an early-ish finish today so will nip to the SM on my way home. The beds are made, kitchen sorted out, chilli dug out of the freezer for dinner. We now have to wear masks in all communal areas at work, I cannot envisage how well or not our children will behave with masks on, they announced yesterday they expect the masks to be in school colours but the letter home to parents made mention of no such thing!I will be packing some of my anxiety meds today just in case - feeling a bit stop the world I want to get off! Big girls pants and lots of make up needed 😂
Have good days all xx8 -
I'm modifying today's list a little, so my plan is:
Level One...
Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Level Two...
Sort & clean the fridge
Level Three...
Wipe all your small appliances..toaster, kettle etc..
Wipe & declutter all the windows sills in these areas!!Other list:
- Strip spare bed and wash covers
- List at least two things on the local free-sharing group
- Inventory the freezer so I can work out what on earth we have to eat!
- Tidy and dust the desk in the spare room/office
- Do an online comparison of insurance prices before I call my insurer tomorrow
That seems like plenty to be getting on with! I've already been up since super-early and logged on to do some work, so I won't feel so guilty if I take a break later to do some flying7 -
MorningNot really sure where I am, with anything atm, I feel a bit lost and wandering.Got a couple of watcher on eby, but watchers are not really buyers, I might have a look in the garage and see what else I can list, I think there still some empty moving boxes in there, used but plenty of life left in them.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Back on the school run this morning, just as independence for DD had loomed. Dreading it, as the queues (and the attitude - parents, not children) to drop off are horrendous.HHI done, towels in the wm. Lists made last night which just served to panic me. Online shop slot to be sorted out today, fingers crossed that I can get one. Bins out for collection, and kitchen bin cleaned.
Back later. Have a lovely day all.8 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok. JoJo you made me laugh.
Feeling a bit 'strange' this morning. Planning to iron a few bits to get up to date, steam mop the hard floors and do some admin.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10
