Oh Round that all sounds positive with the work moves, although I think I would be sick of it all too, its a bit unsettling.
DS2 has had a positive test. He has had two quite poorly days but is a bit better today, he said that he can understand why people with lung/breathing problems get really ill because his chest is very tight and sore. I am trying not to worry about him, he is 50 miles away so not much I can do and anyway he is young and otherwise healthy. One of the girls he shares with is not well at all and I have said to look after her and ring the NHS helpline if they are worried.
Zoom meeting with the charity I volunteer for this morning then kitchen shopping with my parents. One load of washing done, lasagne out of freezer for tea. Tired now.8 -
YL... glad ds isn't too unwell.. best to get it over and done with... loads of vit c and zinc are shown to help massively.. and I developed asthma as a result of my brush with it but no one else had long term effects. The cough is horrible.. it is like you inhaled a glass of water 3 feathers and a tub of talc.. and it hurts.. it all hurts. I hope they all feel better soon

GWS to YL's DS2.
Glad you're feeling a bit better today, pigpen - you seem to have turned into a whirling dervish all of a sudden!
Today I have
- picked up my shears, loppers and secateurs from the reconditioned mower shop where they sharpen tools, ready for the autumn tidy-up in the garden
- collected DH's prescription and done a small shop in the CoOp
- practised hosting a Zoom meeting with DH as the only other participant - a good thing too, as screen sharing turned out to be more difficult than I had been led to believe
- felt light-headed, as if a migraine was developing, so to stave it off I slept for a couple of hours after lunch when DH went out to play wargames
- made a small loaf, focaccia, pizza and little rolls from a single batch of dough: the focaccia and pizza aren't authentic - I could do with lessons from a pro, Fayolle! - but they look OK for what I plan to do with the Tots tomorrow
- took Rosie for her walk
- mowed the lawn while tea was cooking in the oven
- played a few jigsaw puzzles online.
Still not started the hemming... Off to bed now, as the headache is coming on again. I need to be well tomorrow.

I know.. I think I am quite ill haha... normal me will return soon I'm sure.
Tomorrow I have baking to do for pack ups, vacuuming of the front room, more washing and find shoes... what is it with children and shoes?
I did actually crash about 9pm last night partly down to pain meds from school runs but still.. big crash. OH and I are blitzing the front room on Monday while he is off.. this will be a surprise to him.. but a fun one... I am considering shunting furniture about.. it looks cluttered at the moment and it is bugging me.

Good morning all
GWS wishes for your DS and his housemate, YL.
I spent most of yesterday cooking for DH’s SD birthday dinner, and prepping everything into 3 different dishes so that nobody had to touch anything for someone else. I think it all worked. Dinner was early as it gets so cold so fast now, really autumnal - I love it. Not too much in the way of leftovers, which is good. Very kind of you to say, Iona, but I am definitely far from a pro - poor DH has had to eat his fair share of pizza and bread bricks over the years until I cracked it🤣. Last night’s pasta dish took me all day to prep - you can see why it is only served at special occasions. The kitchen has been put back to normal this morning, just the chairs outside to sort. WM is on with a hot wash.Today I really must get to the allotment and deal with the fridge and utility room surfaces. They are groaning under food and other stuff (and yes, also the ironing pile) that needs to be housed.
Have a lovely day all x8 -
Ebeast currently standing at £434.36.. that should cover christmas presents for at least 3 of the smalls and OH (I pre-ordered his already) Squeak wants a keyboard, Dot wants a scruff-a-luv, Pixie wants everything everyone else has but in pink and Twinkle would be happy with a balloon. They can have all of those and they are having a new paddling pool for next summer as ours died after just a few days this year. Bonus there is it can live in the shed and not take up my house space. DD1 is getting a towel rainbow, DD2 is done, Boog is having a small fridge for his room.. I am fed up of the big fridge being full of his diabetes stuff and snacks.. there is no room for my snacks which is not acceptable. DS1 is having pants and socks.. he is desperate.. that leaves DS2, Moomin and Quaverface to sort.. the grandbeasties are done already.. anyone else will be considered after these are done. I do at some point need to raise funds to replace 2 of the ipads.. they are very old and no longer updating or running the apps the girls use. They are cheaper and more durable than a laptop and they can do their homework on them so they are necessary, plus all 4 were cheaper than 1 laptop! .
Cuppa and then I am going to blitz the kitchen, get the washers on, get pack ups ready for tomorrow, send someone to shop (no milk or bread), I have 3 ebeast items to package and I need to whizz the vacuum about downstairs.
To be delegated we have cat trays, shopping, laundry gathering and toy removal.. I do not like toys!!! Hence the ipads and paddling pool for christmas lol..

Hi ladies,
Its quiet on here, I hope everyone is okay. I had one glass of wine too many last night 😳😳so DS football match this morning was, ahem, taxing!I've showered the children, put the clean laundry away, unloaded the DW and vowed never to drink again 😂😂. Also eaten absolutely loads ☹️. Easy dinners all round then bed.YL I am so sorry to hear about your DS, I hope he recovers very quickly xxx8 -
And the family have just gone home. We've had a great weekend. See you all tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.9

I have put two washloads on the line, emptied DW, been to town for bits inc bunny food and lots of cards and done car checks. I have reorganised DDs kitchen bisexual so they are packed sensibly so no longer have an unplaced storage thing and two random pans.
im half way round cleaning DR. I have changed extension cable in front guest room so I can use laptop but don't have to grub about under desk when I need it to take it to work.
toots list job done, Wave central heating controller reset and logged into new router.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear7 -
Valli... kitchen bisexual?? Now that has me intrigued.. I can't even imagine what that would be other than an android housekeeper lol
Baking done.. twinks x 8 million.. pear bran flake muffins are only acceptable to Squeak who doesn't like cake so I am doing some pear upside down muffins for the others, They will be acceptable. Quality control passed.. it is all edible they are just blooming picky!
Having a cuppa then getting everyone speed scrubbed.. I loathe bathing them it kills my back and hips so they are getting a sheep dip and bed.. smelly little urchins! I will then take orders for pack ups and get those done while Squeak reads them a story.. she loves it, it makes her feel grown up especially as she then gets half an hour without them!
