  • There's clearly been a problem with the validation machines but of course APCOA are denying it.

They're unlikely to earn any income unless they do. Have some compassion! 😂
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Please can you and the other poster show that article and recount your experience to Steve Clark at the BPA to investigate?

I have emailed Steve Clark today sharing the articles and outlining mine and my partners circumstances which show the PCN must have been an error.
  • Interesting to read in the comments from of an updated local article someone got a reply from Tesco Head Office:
"Ive just received a reply from TESCO head office stating that their investigation into this debacle has identified a fault on the system since the 1st of October and that anyone who has paid the fine will be reimbursed, also, anyone who hasn't paid yet, should follow the appeal process and the PCN will be cancelled."
Can't be certain on their authenticity so still did a registered keeper appeal.

Very good.  And I am glad you have raised it with the BPA because they need to be aware of some of the trashy scams and lies currently happening, even if they assist by lifting the carpet, we want to see it all exposed.

At one time if you contacted the CEO of Tesco, the ticket would get cancelled.
Now, Tesco just hold customers in contempt, they are a sad company.
I do not know anyone who shops at Tesco, tell a lie, I know one and she only uses Tesco because her mum has a staff discount card. Apart from that, Tesco are a disgraceful company and unworthy of customer trust
  • I've just begun an email to dave.lewis@uk.tesco.com to state my dissatisfaction, but thought I'd check on the status of the parking charge before continuing.  Underneath the charge details it now says "This PCN/ECN is now closed. Thank you."
I presume this means that the Customer Service lady was correct in her statement to me and that she managed to get the charge cancelled.....unless someone knows different?
