I'm very confused now.
When my new upstairs neighbour bought upstairs, there was a problem with the deeds/lease, my solicitor sorted it so basically in her words, I would own the leasehold of my ground floor flat, and the freehold of the upstairs flat (post on 25 Feb).
The photo on 25 Feb is the paperwork I got when I moved in 11 years ago which states upstairs is responsible for the roof, although the rain is now leaking from the bay window, which he says is part of the roof. It is slightly below roof level, but the felt needs to be completely relaid.
The only thing I signed was given to me by my solicitor when upstairs changed hands last year so she could correct the deeds so put the freehold and leasehold in order as described. I don't get how this could affect responsibility which so far as I know had nothing to do with it, it certainly wasn't explained to me, other than to make a correction, presumably with Land Registry.
