Account suspension

Thanks for this. We pay by direct debit (on the rare occasion we do sell anything - maybe once or twice a year), and I checked and we don't owe anything. We've never had an outstanding bill - ever!noitsnotme said:Were there perhaps some fees for selling something that had gone unpaid for some time? This article is aimed at the US marketplace but a lot of the possible suspension reason will be the same for UK - https://www.3dsellers.com/blog/why-ebay-suspended-your-account-and-how-to-fix-it0 -
Honestly, there’s nothing more you can do until you get a response from the SAR.2

I have seen this more often than I am comfortable. I am active, as a part time ebay seller, on many Facebook Ebay seller groups. And this happens to people who's livelihood evolves around ebay. Its frightening really. Generally though, you dig a bit deeper and something comes out of the woodwork. Not in this case it would seem.
But the result is the same - refusal by Ebay to even enter into discussion, and ban is permanent. You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *1 -
I am actually really unimpressed. Their treatment of ordinary people is really poor. We genuinely - still - have no idea what this is about, and we know for certain that our behaviour on eBay over all these years has been exemplary. It's really frustrating, but we've pretty much given up trying to work out what could possibly have happened. Fortunately this is merely an annoyance to us. Our livelihood is not affected and we can shop elsewhere. But I can only imagine how it must be for people who are committed to selling through eBay. Their complete refusal to engage simply gives the company a bad name. I'm happy to have nothing more to do with them.0

Well, this has been rather a journey. In a nutshell, we submitted a SAR in early Sept. A few weeks later we received a phone call out of the blue to say our case had been reviewed, we had clearly done nothing wrong and the suspension would be lifted immediately. However when I tried to place a small bid a couple of days later, another MC113 pinged into my email inbox and we were suspended all over again. Phone calls were met with a recorded voice asking me to call within office hours (at 2 in the afternoon). Finally I thought I would try contacting eBay through Facebook Messenger and to my astonishment I had a direct response within a couple of days and our suspension has been lifted again. I can only think there was some computer glitch which caused our 2 MC113s to be sent and, though I suspect I will never know exactly what happened, I am very happy with the outcome.5

Congratulations. Well done in your persistence. Many would have just given up.

I came very close to giving up. But in the end it was the sense of injustice that spurred me on.1

Have you tried using your account after the second suspension lift to see if it works alright?0
