Just to offer a bit more information, here's the difference between online transactions versus bank statement.. As you can see the first picture does look like my account goes overdrawn,  but officially on the bank statement it clearly doesn't.
It does... but it's cleared by the end of the business day, when those payments in clear. The only difference is that the statement only shows a balance once a day, rather than running.

You show two payments out, totalling £35, but an OD balance of nearly £80. You then have £108 going in the same day, leaving you with a current account balance of less than £30... yet you had gambled £20 on that day.

And just because you work in a bookie doesn't mean you have to gamble... Do you work in a high street bookie, or do you work for the online gambling site that your transaction shows?

Yes I accept that, I work in a high street bookies, I understand it doesn't mean I have to gamble, just do it sometimes as a bit of fun. Shall take this all on board for future. Totally see what you mean about it leaving a low balance, got paid the next day but I guess banks are not interested in that and look at the wider view. My mistake. Onwards and upwards. Thank you.

in this current climate, lenders are being overly cautious, any red flags and they get jittery. So gambling transactions, living by the wire, although in your case you said you stash your money away to HTB ISA which is reasonable.

Definitely and understandably, I appreciate everyone's views and advice here, puts things into much more perspective when fresh eyes and no emotional attachment. Thank you all.
