I'm still not getting any issues ... so it must be the filters I'm using/something I'm blocking that's causing the issue.

I'm not getting a problem using Chrome on a Chromebook but do get it if I use Chrome on my Windows desk top.

  • Touch wood, fingers crossed, and all that, but the issue seems to have stopped for me since reducing the screen zoom from 125% to 110%. I'm using Windows 7 laptop with latest Chrome version, and the issue only started after updating Chrome a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for that. It appears if you change the zoom it sorts the problem. You can even change it back and the problem will stay away until you next open MSE. So a quick change from 100%-110%-100% seems to be enough.

edit: seems I spoke too soon, it doesn't permanently solve the problem, but it does seem to stop it for a while
  • It's not up to us to change our computers though - even if it worked permanently.

It's MSE's problem - our computers are fine/other websites are fine.

That's before the little thing of - well I, for one, wouldnt know how to change my computer and I pay someone else if I want it changed (..and the additional complication of Society has currently gone mad - so there could be problems with that).

Changing the screen zoom is easy, just click on the 3 dots in the top right corner, then by ZOOM click plus or minus. It's 100% by default and clicking plus takes it up in increments. It's only set at the new zoom on the current website and doesn't affect any other sites. Also, once you've changed the zoom level a little magnifying glass appears on the address bar and you can then change the zoom from there. I used to have it set to 125% for this forum to make the text a bit larger but reducing it one step to 110% seems to have cured the problem and the text is still large enough for me.
  • Thanks.

Personally - I don't wish to change the Zoom - as my computer has to be as easy as possible (VERY) for me to use it and "the man who can" that sorts my computer has had to sort the Zoom for me (for my own sake) each time - due to the particular sizing of my computer screen (it's a huge one - and much bigger across than up/down). Hence he has to sort it for me to spread everything from every site across the screen in the first place - so I won't be trying to muck with it for the sake of one site that has this as its problem (not mine).
  • Still using edge browser for this site it keeps my blood pressure down.

Changing the zoom doesn't do anything for me, not even for a short time.
