Yes, it is a bit of a weight lifted that it probably won't become a problem.

The whole point of the move is getting all of our vehicles together and parked off the road. Which probably seems odd to most but it is important for us 😀

Not much happening of note on the house front. The local searches have come back and don't show anything of concern.

We were the same when we bought our bungalow in that we wanted to be able to park our vehicles off road and still have space for visitors. We actually have the biggest frontage in the street! At times we've had our motorhome, a caravan, 2 cars and still had space for 2 cars on hard standing and 4 on grass (which is fine if it's dry but not if it's been raining so would be a definite NO this winter!)

Glad there are no issues with the local searches. Seems like everything is moving smoothly in the right direction.

Sounds like its all going well and i hope it continues all the way through.

When we last moved our number one priority or rather deal breaker was the amount of parking as we knew there would come a time in only a handful of years where we would have 4 or more vehicles needing to park. Fortunately we also found a nice house to go with the drive 🤣

Yes we joke we are buying a garage and drive with a nice kitchen and garden attached 😃

Not much to report this week. Had an update from the solicitors and everything is plodding along nicely. Nothing for us to do at the minute but they are getting ready to send us the contracts for the purchase to sign and return so it sounds like we are pretty much there paperwork wise now.

Looks like we made a good choice making the mortgage application when we did, mortgage rates have started creeping back up again. We will still keep any eye on our rate options through the online portal just incase they drop again but it looks very much like 4.04% is going to be the rate we are fixed in at for 5 years.

Glad to hear the purchase is plodding on. 4.04% isn't bad in the current climate. Seems a !!!!!! age since the 1.!!!!!! all rates.

I hope you get that Sierra running and out on the road this year.

Had it out of the garage for a wash yesterday. First time it's been out in the fresh air for a while.

Its off to storage next weekend so we can make a start on clearing out the garage.

Did a bit more packing yesterday. The house is looking very bare now.
