Gravelines is one of our favourite stops, either first night or last night of holiday and even better if it’s a Friday night as there is a great wood fired pizza van in the main square.  Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

It has been a beautiful day in Bruges. Wall to wall sunshine and blue skies.

Back at the van now having a chill out. The dog is shattered,  he was done a lot of walking today and has been a good boy in the crowds.

We are staying another night here so a day off driving tomorrow. 

Might have a lie in as well.

We were lucky with the weather yesterday and despite an awful forecast we stayed dry for day two in Bruges.



Moving on today to somewhere more chilled out for the day before our next city break.

I think the dog appreciated a quieter day in Belgium yesterday. We found a lovely free aire at a nice place called Domien Bovy. 

There is a lovely park next door and a bar where he was spoiled rotten.



Onto Germany today and the next of our city breaks in Cologne.

Hopefully we are lucky with the weather again!

Started in Belgium this morning before heading through the Netherlands and into Germany. Three countries by 9.30am 😀 

We are now in Cologne, a vast modern sprawling city and not at all what we were expecting. 

We have walked miles today and the dog is absolutely shattered again. We have been lucky with the weather again today. Forecast was for rain all day but we stayed dry.


We are now back on the van having a few beers and watching the comings and goings of the commercial boats and cruise ships on the Rhine. 

It's raining now but not bothered now we are back.



We were going to have another night here but we have seen all we wanted to see today so we might move on tomorrow. We shall see.

We paid a visit to the Nurburgring this morning.



Bought plenty of merchandise 😀

Then moved onto tonight's stopover at Prum.

This is a very pretty town.



The rain has caught up with us today. Its hammering down so we have grabbed the chance to give the van a quick clean up.

Hopefully it stops later so we can go and find a beer. Forecast doesn't look great though.

I don't like to say but I went round in a coach in 1959.

Yes you can. 

Was wet though so not really suitable for taking the van round today 🤣🤣🤣
