    It was cold.

The other half was dithering when he came out 🤣🤣🤣

Nothing a hot breakfast,  shower, hot drinks didn't sort out though.

It's a lot cooler today. Nice dog walking weather bit not beach weather. We made the right choice coming up here instead.

We were going to get the gas bbq out today bit think it will be  a mixed grill cooked in the oven instead!

So glad we have the freezer now to store excess food!

We had a walk to the garlic farm this morning. When someone says it is a 15 minute walk do not believe them. We had contacted the farm and asked if motorhome access was possible given the narrow roads and they  had said probably not. It would have been safer taking the van than walking 🙈

Then we headed to Newport for a bit of shopping, then had a wander around Cowes before heading to tonight's stopover at the beautiful Hare and Hounds.

Letting someone else do the cooking tonight 😀

It is very windy again but we are very sheltered in the motorhome parking area here so expect we should have another quiet night.

We found buses were the best way to get round the Island - a lot safer than walking on some of the roads!

The bus didn't really get us any closer than walking. Will just take the van next time!

The weather has spoiled itself for our last day on the island. Only to be expected from a holiday in the UK I suppose!

We have not let it put us off. We have still paid a visit to Brading Down (where we are assured there is a nice view but not today), then onto Ryde, the beautiful Quarr Abbey before heading to tonight's stopover at Kite Hill Farm.

It's only a twi minute drive to the ferry terminal in the morning.

Sadly we have to leave the island this morning. This week has flown by.

It is still raining and the wind is blowing so it will probably be a bouncy ferry ride back to the mainland.

Going to have a few coffee's, walk the dog and grab some breakfast before our 9.40am ferry.  A slice of toast this morning I think. Will grab lunch somewhere on the drive to Chipping Norton.

Dinner tonight is a chicken and ham pie with sweet potato chips, onion rings and chilli and mint mushy peas.

Can't believe we are on the last day of the holiday already!

It was a blowy ferry ride back to the mainland yesterday and the weather didn't improve any all the way to Diddly Squat!

Didn't stop us enjoying a few pints of Hawkstone in the lambing shed though.

Back home today unfortunately. Could do another week or this.

We are back home again now.

Started tackling the laundry mountain, the dog had had a bath he was filthy from visiting Diddly Squat yesterday!

Van is dumped on the drive ready for cleaning next weekend. Car is full up with diesel and a little shop has been done just for stuff for packed lunches tomorrow.

Was just going to do pizzas for dinner tonight but changed my mind. We are having roast chicken instead.
