Traffic was terrible last night. We didn't think we would make our 8pm table booking at one point, but we did arrive in time, just.
The food was very nice and the dog was spoiled rotten. We had a 30% off voucher as well which saved us a decent amount.

We have a ferry to catch today so it won't be long before we get up and about and hit the road.
Coffee and a toasted bagel first though.2 -
It has been a long day travelling today but worth it for the views.
We had a super smooth ferry crossing with the added bonus of getting on an earlier ferry.
Just been for cocktails on the beach and we are now back on the van for a chill out. The dog is absolutely shattered.

We had a lovely evening at Fort Victoria last night. Its so peaceful here.
We will have a good walk in the country park this morning before heading to The Needles. Going to spend the day there before heading to tonight's campsite.

It was another busy day yesterday.
We started with a walk around Fort Victoria Country Park before heading to the Needles and taking the scary bus ride up to The Battery. After a walk around and coffee in the 1940's cafe we walked back down the coastal path to the van. Then it was onto Totland Bay before finally heading to the campsite. The access road here is terrible. We were ready for a couple of drinks in the pub by the time we were pitched up!
We enjoyed a nice venison roast dinner with a lovely view over the downs.

It is savings money shuffle day today. £100 to the premium bonds, £200 to the savings account and £50 to the ISA.
Today we are heading to Compton Beach to find some dinosaur footprints. Will have breakfast first though. Cheese on toast this morning with some nice sourdough bread and the last of the Wensleydale cheese we got from Hawes.0 -
Lovely views. Sounds like that drink was well deserved 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Another busy day.
Started with a morning walk on Compton Beach hunting for dinosaur footprints then onto Ventnor Botanic Gardens.
Not sure who organised the many road closures in Ventnor but the diversion routes certainly don't have larger vehicles in mind 🙄
Now back at the campsite and enjoying a few beers in the Highdown Inn opposite the site.
