We had a slower start to the day than usual this morning. The other half had to pop to the hospital for his annual bloods check and that didn't open until 8am so we had a little lie in and gave the dog a longer walk and a run on the field with his ball, which he loved.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is pork and apple burgers with chips, corn on the cob and coleslaw.

No jobs to do tonight other than walking the dog. It is a night on the sofa with a few beers and a film tonight ready for a busy weekend ahead at home.

A weekend at home this weekend and we are up fairly early.

Just having a coffee and then we will walk the dog before breakfast. Bacon and egg sandwich this morning.

Then we need to sort out the gardens. Nothing too bad just cutting the grass and the hedge and a bit of weeding. Need to get the grass cut before I can hang out the first load of washing. Hoping to get two loads hung out and dried today.

We need to go and do a beer stock up for the van for next week. That won't be the cheapest!

We have a ham that needs a soak today. That has been salted all week in the fridge. Now needs a soak and will cover it in treacle later ready to roast tomorrow.

Hoping to manage a bbq for dinner later.

Another sunny day forecast so we plan to make the most of it outside.

Today's jobs are washing the van, jet washing the front path and a couple of loads of washing to get line dried.

We will get up soon, have a coffee and then walk the dog while it's a bit cooler this morning.

We are having a bbq breakfast this morning while the bbq is out. Dinner later will be the black treacle ham we have been preparing all week with some marmite potatoes and greens.

Last five days at work before we head off on holiday. It looks set to be another hot and sunny day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is BBQ. I have got some chicken breast, tuna steaks and a burger to put on there tonight with some grilled peppers, mushrooms, onions and courgette.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop
It was nice to have a sunny weekend at home. We got loads done in the garden and at home. The washing machine never seemed to stop!

We definitely can’t complain about the weather. Where are you off to at the end of the week?

We are heading to the Isle of Wight and then calling in at Diddly Squat Farm (Clarksons Farm) on the way home.

Looking forward to nine nights out in the van. It seems to have been a long time coming around this year!

Sounds good. Can you park the van at Clarksons farm and stay overnight?

Yeah, we have a couple of weekends / holidays over the summer planned seems an age. Although we went away in May the weather etc meant we couldn’t enjoy it. Only just seems like spring has arrived, it’s been a long winter ha.

There is a campsite right next door to the farm shop.

Been trying to get a pitch for ages but it was fully booked. Managed to get a cancellation 😀

He’s made it into quite the destination! I would quite like to go the next time we go to Bicester Village. Last time we went it was disappointing- load of lesser quality stuff specially made for Bicester Village and we said we wouldn’t bother going back as it’s such a long way but I am tempted to try it again over summer and also go to Clarksons farm the same day.
