The start of another working week. Last sunny and warm day for a while as well.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is cajun chicken wraps made with the leftovers from yesterdays roast dinner.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop

Your week away looked lovely. We couldn’t decide whether to go away this last weekend but decided to get some things sorted in the garden whilst the weather was nice. Once we’ve sorted the garden in spring it is fairly low maintenance. We do want to get away before we head to Cornwall in June though. Think this is the longest we haven’t ventured out in it.
    January spends - £587.58

We only had a few days away. Not got a week off until July, which seems a long way off at the minute!

What a complete change in the weather today. Wet and dark. Still vey muggy though, hope this rain cools it down throughout the day.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is spag bol and garlic bread.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing
The dog wasn't overly keen on going out this morning, he didn't want to get wet. Can't say I blame him. We did eventually coax him out, but he was very quick to do his business and turn back around for home this morning.

Mid week again. Half way there.

£100 sent to the energy account today. That is starting to build up credit again now for next winter, although we still have a decent chunk left in there from last winter and now being on a fixed rate we know what this winters bills will be. I think we will be paying too much for our energy with the credit balance taken into account.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today. Breakfast was toast, (the bargain 20p loaf I picked up on Monday night is doing well), we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is garlic and herb chicken breast with wholegrain and wild rice and vegetables.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • weigh in Wednesday
Hoping to have made some progress into shifting the bank holiday weight gain this week.

A 2 pound loss tonight so back to where we started before the Bank Holiday weekend.

I have switched our fixed energy tariff again today. Our supplier had brought out a slightly cheaper fix, again with no exit fees. Only saves us £40 a year but it's £40 I would rather have, plus it pushes the fix into May next year.

This is the third time in a couple of months we have switched tariff to save a bit here and there. It will all add up.

Thursday already. Another week flying by.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast using up the last of the bargain loaf, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is surf and turf with some small rump steak and king prawns served with some sweet potato wedges and stir fried vegetables. We have some rainbow chard in the garden that is ready to go so will use some of that up.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • load of washing
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • vacuuming the house
I'm at the hairdressers tonight so the other half is going to do the bathrooms and the vacuuming while I am out.

    Friday has come around again.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is southern fried chicken thighs with chips and coleslaw.

No jobs to do tonight other than walking the dog. It is a relaxing evening on the sofa watching a film with a few drinks.

Another weekend at home for us. We have a family birthday meal to attend tomorrow evening. Looking forward too a nice lie in in the morning.
