Time to Face The Music

Thursday already.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is garlic chicken with rice and vegetables.

A busy night tonight. Tonight's jobs are:

• walking the dog
• load of washing
• vacuuming the house
• cleaning the bathrooms
• plugging in the van and turning on the fridge
• packing for the long weekend

A busy night tonight but it means we can make a quick getaway tomorrow evening after work.

I must send our travel documents for later in the year to the van finance company as well. It is a right pain having to get permission to take the van out of the UK every time.

Friday at last. 7.5 hours to work and then we can hit the road and head to Norfolk.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is a nice Dexter steak pie from the farm shop with some chips and mint and chilli mushy peas. Will have a few beers first when we get parked up and take the dog for a nice walk along the river.

No jobs to do tonight, we will just get home grab a quick shower and then head out in the van. We just need to put some food on there, everything else is packed up ready and we need to get a bit of diesel on the way out to the A1. Don't think we would have quite enough left to do the round trip.

Just got parked up at our stopover for tonight and the sun has come out for us.





Hoping we get a decent sunset in a little while.

The cloud spoiled any chance of a sunset picture last night.



The traffic has started up again so no chance of a lie in here.

Think we will be up soon for a coffee and set off to find some breakfast. Just means we will be early to Wells. No great shame we can park in the town car park for the morning. Can't get onto the campsite until 1pm.

It was a wet day in Norfolk yesterday. Still very pretty though.



Today we are heading to the beach and the pinewoods before heading back into town again this afternoon. 

We have a full Norfolk breakfast this morning and dinner later is roast chicken with all the trimmings. 

The dog is shattered. He did some walking around yesterday. Much the same again today.

We have had a lucky day today with the weather. Despite a wet morning we have managed a dry walk on the beach and a dry walk into town. 

The sun even made an appearance briefly. Just got back to the van and the rain has started again.

Sadly it is time to head back home today. We have both said we could stay longer. Its been a really enjoyable long weekend. 

We will take the dog for a walk this morning and then come back and have some cheese on toast before packing up and setting off for home. Think we will fill the water up here before we go. It's easier than doing it at home.

We should be home for dinnertime. Going to cook a curry later for dinner. I got some lamb out before we left home.
