It's Friday. Mortgage payment day and there is the usual £406 overpayment gone with that.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is southern fried chicken with jacket potato and coleslaw.

No jobs to do tonight other than walking the dog. We are straight out in the van after work. Just need to fill it up with water and bleed the air out of the water system and then we are good to go. Not going far this weekend just 15 minutes down the road to a local campsite to check the new electrics we have fitted are all working properly. No reason to expect they shouldn't but we thought we are better off checking them now while we have time to make any fixes before the busy time of year starts up again.

Last night proved to be the perfect night to check out the electric heating on the van. It was a clear and chilly night. The heating worked a treat and kept us toasty warm all night.

We enjoyed a few drinks in the on site cafe bar last night which was nice.

Today we are going for a walk around the country park next door. Breakfast first though which will be bacon and egg on a toasted muffin.

The weather forecast isn't great for today so I suspect we will have a few more drinks in the bar this afternoon before we retire to the van to watch a couple of films.

Going to order in a takeaway tonight. Not sure what we are having yet though. Will decide later on.

We are back home again now. The van is back in the drive, need to give it a quick clean later as we are out again next weekend.

We had a lovely walk around the country park this morning with the dog. He's now asleep again.

Not had breakfast yet. Will put it on in a minute. Bacon butty this morning and we are having roast chicken later on.

Not got much else planned for today. Got a load of washing on the go. Suspect we will go out somewhere with the dog this afternoon.

Back to work again today. We are on the countdown for Easter now and the chance to have a couple of extra days off work.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is a quick chicken stew made with the leftovers from yesterdays roast, will serve that with Yorkshire pudding and a few greens.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop

Also on the countdown to Easter. I was going to book a day off soon but decided to tough it out until Easter 😆

I would love a day off right now but I just don't have the holiday entitlement left after everything is booked off this year. So we will have to sit it out until Easter. Sure it will come round quick enough.

I'm extremely glad that my negotiated extra holiday means I have a day off later this week! Theoretically I have one booked off next week as well but I'm leaning towards scrapping that one as it's not that long until Easter now. We'll see - it might depend how stressful the early part of next week is! (And what the weather forecast does!)

First time someone mentioned Easter at my office today too, can't get away from it. It's not far away now but I hope the weather improves by then. Hoping to get the BBQ going for the first time this year and at our new place over the Easter weekend.
