Back to work today. That weekend has flown by far too quickly.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today. Breakfast was cereals, we have both taken our packed lunches to work, salad box for me and tonight's dinner is chicken and bacon pasta with homemade garlic bread.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop
Not much else happening today. It will hopefully be a quiet day in store.

One debt remaining. Home improvement loan.
  • That debt figure is coming down nicely. You will have an extra £750 approx to pay down the mortgage or save once it is gone. The savings are going up too.

If interest rates are similar to what they are now in May 2026 when we come to remortgage the house, then the £400 a month we pay to the motorhome loan will be paid to the mortgage. It will be the right amount to bring the mortgage term down to 5 years.

The remaining £350 will be put to work in savings.

The hab check went really well but we expected it would. We had fixed a couple of small items that were flagged up the year previous.

Looking forward to getting out in the van next weekend. It will have been sat on the drive for a month by the time we next get out in it!!
