We figured after last night's wind we really should check that it is still moored up properly and the canopies still on properly.

Don't expect we will be able to get out for a day trip on it though. Think the flood gates will be shut on the marina entrance.

Glad to hear you got out on the boat @RelievedSheff must admit when you were making comments about my RR early on I was thinking what a cheeky !!!!!! with you having the boat. Honestly fair play though, you’re smashing it and have a really good balance. Said before I’m somewhat envious of your life but you can keep the Hyundai haha.

Thanks, hope I do. 100 want to update the figs at some point with no more cards. Then just the !!!!!! Range Rover haha. Day I clear that going to be happy days.

😆 not gonna lie I wish I still had a toy tbf, probably one of the few who totally get the boat lol.

You’ve got a great balance put the odd thing on a card once in a while don’t really matter if you’ve got a plan to pay off life happens. Tbf I know what you mean about not always working out from what you’ve said you and OH in debt for similar reasons to me but from reading your first post all got a bit more serious. Honestly, absolute credit to you for getting through that seeing the other side. Have you got your res home mortgage sorted on a better deal now too?

Looking to get the remortgage sorted at the beginning of February unless rates look like they are edging upwards again then we will do it sooner. As it stands at the minute we are looking at about 2.7% ( 85% LTV) which is a damn sight better than the rate we are on at the moment!

It won't be no spends today but it will be low spends. We need to pick some milk up and a couple of other small bits.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores but we might grab something for lunch while we are out. Breakfast will be cheese on toast and dinner tonight is king prawn Thai curry with noodles and spring rolls.

Nothing much planned for today other than taking the dog out for a long walk. Need to vacuum the house as well at some point.

@RelievedSheff are you sure that’s the best rate even with the 85ltv? off the top of my head my bank (Barclays) was doing deals at around the 2% mark for that ltv - def not as high as 2.7. Granted it’s a lot better than your current rate but you want to make sure you get the best rate you can especially if fixing for 5 yrs. If still some adverse to contend with possibly fix for 2 and deal with at that point as I can’t see rates rising much.
