I think one of our best Christmas Days ever was the one shortly before Mr SA became ill and we took the dog to Skegness for the day. Got there in next to no time thanks to empty roads, put a curry in the slow cooker for our return and had a picnic lunch on the beach. The weather was sunny and mild and the dog really enjoyed it. Nice memories.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

@RelievedSheff looks an amazing day. Weather was good for walking too!Merry Christmas!
@Sun_Addict that sounds like one of the absolute best Christmases anyone could ask for to me. Hope you had a good one also.4 -
It's boxing day.
Another no spends day and time to use up some leftovers.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Bacon muffins this morning for breakfast, cheese crackers and cold meats for lunch and tonight we are having a cheesy ham, turkey and leek bake with vegetables and garlic bread.
We will take the dog out somewhere. Not sure where yet today though but we will be back to batten down the hatches before storm Bella hits later today!4 -
Not looking forward to storms after the glorious day yesterday. I thought the weather was very kind to us for once.
Glad you (and the dog) had a good day and still continue to provoke menu envy

The woods were very muddy today. The dog has gone straight in the bath when we got home!

That does look very muddy, not surprised after all the rain we’ve had just lately. Hope you’re enjoying Boxing Day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

It has been a lovely day so far thank you. We have been out for a walk, hung a few pictures which we got for Christmas, had a cracking lunch and dinner is now prepped ready to stick in the oven later on.Sun_Addict said:That does look very muddy, not surprised after all the rain we’ve had just lately. Just sat down with our first drinks. Jack Daniels and diet coke for me today.4 -
We are aiming for another no spend day today.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast will be scrambled eggs and black pudding on toast, lunch is the last of the cold meats and pork pie and dinner tonight is tuna steaks with rice and vegetables.
I think we are going to check on the boat today. Will take the dog for a good walk while we are there.4 -
The weather looks to be sunny from late morning onwards (according to my weather app) so a good day to check on your boat.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
