We have had a brilliant weekend but it has been hectic. Our friends left at about 11am and we are now just getting the front garden tidied up while we have a break I  the weather and giving the van a clean ready for next weekend.

Looking forward to a sit down and chill out after that. Got to prepare dinner later but that won't take long. Its roast lamb today. Will get some veggies from the garden.

The dog is shattered. He won't be much trouble today.

I  guess we will be having an early night tonight ready for work tomorrow.

Back to work again. This weekend seems to have flown by!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores today. Breakfast was toast, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is lamb in black bean sauce with noodles and spring rolls made with the leftovers from last nights roast dinner.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • load of washing (which should be dry when I get back home)
    • putting the clean bedding back on the van
    • walking the dog
    • weekly shop
We are hoping for a bit quieter week this week.

Had to go and fill the car up with diesel this morning.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is slow cooked beef stew with Yorkshire pudding and greens.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • cleaning the kitchen
It feels quite cool out this morning. I was almost ready for a jacket this morning walking the dog. It felt very autumnal other than the leaves on the trees being green.

Yes it felt autumnal here too….compounded by lots of Halloween pumpkins etc in the shops already. I’m not ready for Halloween yet - the children haven’t even broken up for summer yet. Talk about wishing the year away 😳

I have been and done the weekend shop a bit early this week. It is one of our nieces birthdays tomorrow so I needed to go and get a card and some cash out anyway so may as well kill two birds with one stone and save having to go to the shops again later in the week.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from stores. Breakfast was porridge, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is hunters chicken with chips, onion rings and homemade coleslaw.

    Tonight's jobs are:
    • walking the dog
    • dropping off the birthday card
    • load of washing
    • cleaning the kitchen
Another wet, grey day instore here. Good old British summer time.

I’m getting fed up of this miserable weather now. Exactly the reason why we go abroad for our holidays.

Your East Anglian trip sounded lovely RS - you visited some of my favourite places so it was great to see the photos!

The weather really does seem to have turned doesn't it - hopefully it's a temporary thing and we'll get proper summer back before too long. And I agree with milann about people wishing the year away - I feel so sorry for all the school kids currently hearing "Back to School" ads before they have even broken up!
