That’s gone by so fast. At least you have many more trips to look forward to. When I have to go back to work after a holiday I pacify myself by saying I’m only going back to earn money for the next holiday 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

Great photos. You have made me want to travel to Norfolk and Southwold now. We are off to Dorset today. You will soon have that debt under £20k. Presumably it is overpaying the mortgage once the debt is gone?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Had a nice surprise to come back to work too. We have all been awarded a 2.8% pay rise and I got an extra £1k on top.
Will need to look at where the extra is going but it will most likely be used as a further over payment on the mortgage. It isn't likely that we will get as good a mortgage rate when we remortgage in 2026 so we need to get as much of it paid off as possible before then.3 -

Day 2 back at work. Hopefully it will be a more productive today. Yesterday just seemed to be a day of reading emails and catching up.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, we have both taken our packed lunches to work and dinner tonight is steak with sweet potato chips, grilled onions and peppers and coleslaw.
We have the dog at the vets tonight for his animal health certificate appointment. That's not a cheap do. But needs must if he is to go to France with us.2
